Il possĂšde un fabuleux jardin avec cour marocaine, idĂ©al pour se dĂ©tendre, bronzer, manger et faire du barbecue avec du poisson frais et des viandes du marchĂ© local (5 minutes Ă  pied). Le Casinha vient d'ĂȘtre rĂ©novĂ© dans le style mauresque romantique avec un mobilier et une dĂ©coration anciens Ă©lĂ©gants, Ă©galement avec des ventilateurs de plafond super silencieux pour ces chaudes soirĂ©es de Lagos. TrĂšs calme la nuit et le jardin est magnifiquement Ă©clairĂ© pour un sĂ©jour vraiment romantique dans l'un des meilleurs endroits de Lagos.

L'Accroche visuelle du patio sur l'annonce donne une image fausse de l'ensemble. Ce patio est en fait entourĂ© d'appartements avec une vue plongeante . donc il n'y a aucune intimitĂ© rĂ©elle . TrĂšs mauvaise insonorisation Il nous a Ă©tĂ© interdit d'approcher en voiture la location mĂȘme pour dĂ©poser nos bagages par le propriĂ©taire du n°30

Un logement en centre ville idéal

Le logement de ValĂ©rie et Randy est vraiment bien placĂ© et trĂšs agrĂ©able. J’y ai sĂ©journĂ© deux semaines et je m’y suis beaucoup plu. La Casinha est trĂšs bien Ă©quipĂ©e et bien placĂ©e. De plus, les propriĂ©taires ont laissĂ© des informations trĂšs prĂ©cieuses pour la vie de tous les jours pendant le sĂ©jour. Je recommande sans hĂ©sitation!

We enjoyed our stay here. The location was excellent and had the weather been a little warmer we would have used the outdoor space more. One thing to note, if you’re on the tall side (my husband is 6’2”) you may find the foot board on the bed uncomfortable.

Perfect place to stay in Lagos!

Our home for 10 days in Lagos was functional, beautifully decorated, and centrally located. We felt at home the minute we walked in the door; the casinha was well appointed with all the essentials for a comfortable stay. What raised all of this to another level was the outside terrace/patio: you would have to see this bit of paradise to understand! We will be back!

The house was fine but for the cost I would expect more I’m afraid I know it says ceiling fans but this house needs air con as the weather was exceptionally hot and the fans were pretty useless I also felt the decoration was a bit dark. I suppose I’m being picky, we enjoyed our stay but I feel it needs updating and lightened up the bed was small and there was a thick duvet on it I would expect in summer there should’ve been a 2 tog or very light duvet it’s all about attention to detail and I am fussy.also we only had a bath towel and hand towel each I did wash them but could’ve done with a few extra towels.

TrÚs joli appartement, et tellement bien situé!

Et que dire de la cour intérieure, tout simplement magnifique! Cet appartement jouis d'un emplacement idéal, située à quelques pas du centre de Lagos, elle est d'autre part juste assez éloignée pour qu'on puisse bénéficier de calme et tranquillité. Merci à Valérie et Randy pour un séjour inoubliable!

A little paradise

Perfectly located in the old town with a wonderful peaceful private garden. The kitchen is well equipped for those wanting to cook meals. This is our #1 choice to escape our Canadian winters.

Perfect Loacation

This apartment is the perfect place to explore Lagos. You literally have everything at your doorstep while still being situated on a quiet street. The apartment has everything you could possibly need from beach chairs and umbrellas to shampoo! The patio garden is so beautiful - a little oasis. Everything was spotlessly clean. Kleines Paradies in Lagos

Die sehr schöne Ferienwohnung am Rande der Altstadt ist perfekt gelegen. Ruhig, aber in wenigen Schritten mitten im Geschehen. Die Zimmer sind sehr geschmackvoll und gemĂŒtlich eingerichtet, die KĂŒche hat alles was man braucht und der Innenhof, bzw. Garten ist ein kleines Paradies.

Wonderful Apartment

We very much enjoyed our stay in this beautiful and well appointed apartment. Located in a quiet side street in the old town, we were only a 5 minute walk from the Pracas and not much longer a walk from the beaches. The private garden was as beautiful as the images show. We will be returning!

Loved the location in the heart of the old town. We were able to get around easily and to the beaches etc. without a car - using local buses. Valerie and Randy left a book of best restaurants, bakery etc. The property provided everything we needed - wi fi, tv, back yard, washer etc. The magic was the garden.

Excellent location

This is an excellently located apartment within the old walls of Lagos. The first floor apartment is well provisioned and the company that looks after the apartment is always available,even providing a second set of keys when requested. The street itself is peaceful unless construction is going on. Because it was winter we did not get to use the beautiful terrace that often but it is certainly lovely. There are many excellent places to eat and the cliff walks are fabulous. We had a car so we could take interesting day trips to surrounding places. Lagos itself is a great place for a base to explore. We really enjoyed the apartment but because it was winter we found the apartment damp and poorly lit and we really needed the heaters provided. We also found the double bed too small for comfort but realize a bigger bed would not fit into the space. The biggest challenge for us was the ambient noise of the other residents especially the person above us who walked around in heavy shoes starting at 8:00 am. The acoustic properties of the building allow televisions and family noise from the other 3 apartments to encroach on the natural tranquility of the apartment. The love and care for the apartment by the owners is apparent.

Had a fantastic week here. Cool and quiet in the algarve summer heat, with lovely, secluded patio for evenings. Easy walking down into the old town and to the local beaches. Thoroughly recommended.

Sehr hĂŒbsche Wohnung, ideal gelegen. Die Innenstadt ist fußlĂ€ufig gut zu erkunden, zum Stadtstrand nur 10 min. Fußweg. Jede Menge gute Restaurants in unmittelbarer NĂ€he. Ein riesiger Parkplatz befindet sich um die Ecke, sodass parken kein Problem war. Die Wohnung war absolut sauber und gepflegt genauso wie der Außenbereich. Wir sind ĂŒberaus freundlich empfangen worden, obwohl wir erst gegen 22Uhr angereist sind. Einziges Manko, was nicht in die Bewertung einfließt, sind die Möwen mit ihrem Geschrei. So etwas habe ich noch nie erlebt und gehört, dort scheint es aber normal zu sein.

This was the perfect property for what we wanted. Old town centre and lots to do.

We like that in a private apartment you can sleep in without room service or banging doors of hotel rooms. This apartment was really in the ideal location to all amenities. The old town feel was perfect. Within yards you have a beautiful coffee shop and small market. It's about 150 yards to the Main Street were all restaurants and shops are. It is about 5 minutes walk to the beach. We drove to other places within 30 minutes of Lagos but found Lagos had the best to offer.

Cosy,convenient and clean

The casinha was clean and very well equipped. Last year we stayed in a rental in Gardone where we had to start our holiday by shopping for basics such as toilet paper but Valerie and Randy have thought of everything including small useful items such as a travel adaptor. Towels and beach towels provided too and a nice lady called midweek to provide a change of clean towels. Super location close to great restaurants: the best one we found for food and service was Real Portuguese just 1 minute walk around the corner where we ate three times during the week. Also really close to fresh food markets, shops, little museums and Science Centre-all easy walking distance. Not too far either to walk to the train station for a day out e.g. Sagres and the area is well served by local bus service. The staff in the tourist information in Gil Eanes square were really helpful and can give you a free map of Lagos which is invaluable for finding your way around the maze of small streets. It was lovely to sit in the private courtyard garden and we took the advice not to leave food unattended as the gulls had their eye on our breakfast. We also appreciated the huge fan in the bedroom-no noise and it kept the bedroom cool enough to sleep comfortably. Thank you for the friendly welcome by Fiona from Destination Algarve too who met us at the Casinha on arrival. A most relaxing holiday.

Great location.

This apartment is situated in an ideal location within the old Lagos city walls. It is an easy 2-3 minute walk to all restaurants & shops in the beautiful old city of Lagos. The apartment is small, but is okay for 2 people. Although the bed was advertised as "Queen", it is in fact a double bed, but comfortable with very nice linens. We found it difficult to get warm from the small portable heaters in the cool nights when we were there the end of February to mid March.

Fantastic! The photos don't do the apartment justice. The garden patio is quite spacious considering this is Lagos. It would make a very nice setting for a dinner for four, and yes...it belongs only to your apartment. The location of the apartment is wonderful - central to the area of Lagos in which you will spend most of your time. A four minute stroll down one the lovely tiled roads will bring you to the main squares in Lagos. From there to one of many fine restaurants, or a walk along the waterway, a walk to one of the beautiful beaches. Terrific The property management company will meet you at the apartment when you get into town, and will see to all your needs. Although we didn't use it, there is convertible bed/sofa, so if you plan to use that you might ask for extra bedding. The living room is a good size, with windows opening to the very quiet street. BTW...plan on eating at least twice at the improbably named Casinha Petiscos. This is not a "snack house". Luis Rosa, chef/owner, creates exquisite meals out of the simplest of Portuguese cuisine. You will want to return (reservations accepted). Casinha Alegrias is a terrific choice for a prolonged stay in Lagos. Take advantage of it!
