Great family hotel! Love the location to the beach, but it was a bit from town. Took a bit for Ubers. We loved going to the beach in the morning and then hitting up the snack bar and pool in the afternoon.

Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt, auch wenn das Hotel etwas in die Jahre gekommen ist. Das Personal war sehr hilfsbereit und freundlich! Saubere Zimmer aber leider kein barrierefreies duschen möglich, da nur Bäder mit Badewanne. Hat uns persönlich aber nicht gestört. Frühstück sehr gut aber immer gleich. Direkter Strandzugang vom Hotelgarten mit Pool! Sehr schön, da man immer ein schattiges Plätzchen gefunden hat. Falls wir noch einmal nach Ferragudo reisen, würden wir es erneut buchen.

The property is in a beautiful setting surrounded by lush greenery and the views of the sunset and ocean from our balcony was amazing. The beach is a short 5 min walk down the trail from the property. The town of ferragudo is about 2 km from the property and takes 20 to 25 min to walk via the beach or down the road. We enjoyed the peace of the pool and surrounding lounging areas. Highly recommend and will definitely come back. The staff were especially nice.

Das Hotel liegt wunderschön, ist sehr ruhig und der Strand und das Städtchen Ferragudo liegt doch als Fussweg sehr nahe. Das Personal ist freundlich, kann +/- gut englisch. Was mich ein bisschen gestört hat, ist das Personal beim Frühstück. Mehr als einmal musste ich fast um Kaffeetasse und Besteck „kämpfen“. Sie kommen nicht nach mit Tischen neu decken und wollen bereits abräumen obwohl man noch nicht fertig ist. An der Reception wollten sie nicht für uns einen Tisch im Städtchen reservieren, was für mich nicht in Ordnung war. Aber ich würde das Hotel wieder wählen!

This hotel is incredible. We didn't mind at all that it wasn't renovated. It was part of the charm. It was very clean. The breakfast was good, the staff was so nice. The pool is outstanding. The staff kindly gave us a balcony room on the end on the first floor which was sooo lovely. However, the only thing that would make me rethink staying here are the beds. They are hard. I read this before staying and thought it was an exaggeration. However, it is not. Also, the AC was loud at higher setting. I also wish the beach had lounge chairs. We ended up going to the neighboring beach Praia do Pintadinho (amazing!). We booked the hotel because of access to beach The short walk to it though- is wonderful. They go to considerable trouble to make this a special place which it is. Upgrading the beds would make it the ideal place - despite beach & AC. We would have stayed longer and absolutely return again if they just improved beds, Everything else was perfect. As an aside, it was an easy walk to other beaches and fantastic restaurants. Uber wasn't always reliable for longer distances (when went to Marina for a boat trip with friends) but the hotel can call a cab. I recommend arranging it ahead if you're going longer distances. Ein schönes ruhiges Hotel mit idyllischem Strand.

Es war ein schöner Aufenthalt - für uns ein eintätiger Abstecher in Ferragudo - . Es hat alles gestimmt, ein schöner ruhiger Strand rundet das Ganze ab. Mit romantischem Ausblick auf den Hafen von Portimao mit malerischem Sonnenuntergang.

Property was a short 5 mins drive out of Ferragudo centre. Also walkable in around 25 minutes its about 2km to town . If you just want the beach there is a lovely path through woods which takes about 5 mins to get there, but there are no facilities on the beach, if you want sun loungers its probably around 1km to walk along the beach until you come to these along with three restaurants. The Property itself is traditional very clean and tidy, quite small which we liked! perhaps 40 bedrooms max. Reception staff very helpful . Breakfast excellent and plenty of choice. Pool area very clean, there are probably 60 sun loungers some by the pool others very close to the pool in the gardens with trees giving natural shade. we may have been off season 12th to 19th June but it was never busy. A thoroughly enjoyable break! only slight comment, no tea coffee or water in the room. No entertainment as far as we could see. Pool snack bar food OK and reasonably priced. We didn't eat at the hotel restaurant so can't comment on that!

Casabella hotel is in a beautiful location. It’s a shame that the condition of the property the service and lack of amenities does not warrant their room rate. The bed was so hard my husband and I were sore the next day. No coffee in the room or room service. We felt like we had to beg for ice. I would not go back.

Amazing location. Very helpful Staff but…

Okay. Last year I was pretty harsh on the Casabela Hotel. But here my partner and I find ourselves back home in the UK after another great holiday in Portugal. We love Portugal… especially Ferragudo. The Casabela Hotels location is amazing. I will say it again, the hotels location is amazing. This is why we love it. The staff are very friendly, helpful and attentive. The rooms are spacious and we always for the Sea View as there is the possibility of Mosquitos so being higher up that’s less likely. The sea view is quite the view first thing in the morning and last thing at night. Now to the buts… but the beds are too hard and you can get a nights sleep in them. But boy they are hard! Something we are willing to put up with. Again, after our stay last year I noted no complimentary Tea or Coffee making facilities and also no mini bar. Something you’d expect from a Four Star Hotel. The breakfast for is okay to good but could be better. Maybe with a breakfast menu with more specialist breakfasts like Eggs Benedict etc. But due to the location we over look these short falls. But… The beds could be better The bathrooms need an overhaul - as they’re pretty dated. The breakfast buffet is okay but could be better. The rooms could do with complimentary Tea and Coffee facilities. The plus points The Hotel is super clean. The bed linen is always clean and fresh The staff are friendly and very helpful. The location is amazing The beach is easy to get to.

This is a very beautiful location. Be sure to get a room with ocean view, the view is beautiful. Casabela feels like it has seen better days. But there is so much to like here. The breakfast quality is only mediocre and the sound insulation between rooms is not good. But if you have a bit of a sense of adventure, this is well worth a look

Not a good experience

Upon arrival I was told that the since the hotel was fully booked, I had been "upgraded" to a sea-view room... Such "upgrade" meant that I was sent to a dungeon-like room, dark and smelling of mould, in an area of the hotel which could not be reached by the lift, and therefore one had to climb up (or down) a narrow spiral staircase in order to reach it. The room was extremely outdated and lacking the most basic amenities (including bottled water), and the bed linens looked slightly dirty and untidy. Further, it was impossible to get food in the establishment outside of very narrowly determined times. At the swimming pool bar, supposed to have food service all day long, they had run out of the most basic ingredients. The one think they could prepare, a sort of tortilla sandwich, was a caricature of a tuna roll, with 15g of canned tuna, 2 leaves of lettuce and an anemic slice of tomato, in a raw and cold tortilla. The icing on the cake was the exhoribitant price of €225 per night for a hotel that was at most worth €100/night, and them denying to have found a brand new pair of shorts I had left in my room upon departure, and making me call back 3 times throughout the day (every time making up a different excuse) in order to find out. No words of courtesy or apology were ever offered throughout. In short: AVOID.
