« Great location! Clean and roomy! Minutes away from Starved Rock and within 20 minutes to some delicious local restaurants and breweries. The Bear Lodge also has amenities - mini golf, corn hole boards, outdoor bar and water park. Would stay here again! »

« We spent 2 nights in Martin’s condo. It is spacious, homey, with a great location. The condo was clean, uncluttered, and had all the necessities needed which included a nice coffee maker and Keurig so you can bring your own preference. Martin was helpful and responded to any questions we had promptly. We hope to stay there again in the near future. »

« The house is absolutely adorable! The beds were comfortable, the shower was refreshing and the fenced in back yard with fire pit was perfect. Elaine was such a wonderful, receptive host. We will definitely stay here again. »

« Everyone in our family really enjoyed this house, we all had extra space to do our things. So many bathrooms , nice kitchen and plenty of dining space. We also enjoy the beautiful view of the Illinois River while having our cookout or at night during bonfires. We’ll definitely come back to this gorgeous home! »

« Home is big enough for our group of 15 with lots of outdoor space for the kids to run around. Near Utica, Ottawa and Starved Rock State Park, so lots of places to explore nearby. Would highly recommend. »

« Eleven of us (8 adults and 3 young children) stayed at Elaine’s home for a weekend or fun, laughter and hiking. The house was extremely clean and the beds were super cozy. The backyard was a perfect size to enjoy privacy, the fire pit and a game of catch. Elaine’s recommendation binder was so helpful and informative on the local restaurants, hiking and shopping. « A great all-around experience. Lot's of room to relax, a nice big kitchen with a breakfast bar, and all a stone's throw from Starved Rock. I loved the balcony off the bedroom and the jacuzzi. The Grand Bear lodge has a great bar as well. Great restaurant options between Utica, Peru and Ottawa, or venture over to the Starved Rock state park lodge restaurant. »
