The backyard is where the trip actually happens. A pool and hot tub sit at the center of it, with lounge chairs lined up along the water for the long middle of the afternoon. Under the covered patio, there's a shaded lounge and a full outdoor dining setup, so one group can eat while another stays horizontal. The BBQ is a few steps away and stocked with a full tool set and skewers, and the sightline from the grill runs straight out over the course — golf carts rolling past, sprinklers catching the light, the mountains going pink around sunset.

Inside, the game room is the other center of gravity: an open-concept space anchored by a pool table, with a shuffleboard table alongside it and a classic Pac-Man arcade machine in the corner. Board games are stocked too — Monopoly, Scrabble, Tic-Tac-Toe, and a poker set — for the nights nobody feels like going out. The room stays connected to the rest of the house rather than tucked away, so the people playing and the people watching are still in the same conversation.

The kitchen is set up for real cooking: generous counter space, full-size appliances, and an island with bar seating for whoever wanders in early. Old Town La Quinta is a short drive for its Sunday farmers market, boutiques, and patio restaurants, and Lake Cahuilla Veterans Regional Park sits right at the base of the mountains for an easy morning out. Hikers have the La Quinta Cove trailheads — Cove Oasis, Bear Creek, Boo Hoff — within fifteen minutes, best done early before the sun takes over. Push north and the valley's calendar opens up: Indian Wells Tennis Garden, where the BNP Paribas Open takes over each March, is around twenty minutes, and Empire Polo Club in Indio — the Coachella and Stagecoach grounds — is closer still. Palm Springs and its mid-century architecture, shops, and spas are about forty minutes northwest, and Palm Springs International Airport is a similar drive, which keeps the getting-here part simple.

As part of our commitment to being good neighbors, occupancy limits and quiet hours (9pm-8am) are strictly enforced. No speakers or sound systems will be provided for use in our properties. Violation of any noise ordinances will be subject to fines that can reach up to $10,000 per violation.
