We cannot say enough about our stay at Legacy Villas. I researched many properties in the Palm Springs area and finally decided to go with Legacy Villas. My first impression upon arrival was excellent and I felt relief in my decision to choose this property. The longer we stayed the more we impressed we were. We chose a Studio Suite with a King bed. I was worried that it might me too small and not enough room amenities. There was no issue at all. It had a coffee maker, a small fridge and a toaster oven. We purchased bread to make toast and had fruit and yogurt and granola in the mornings. It was perfect. The kitchenette has cupboards and a sink and is stocked with utensils and dishes. The bathroom was large with a big tub and separate shower. We loved the balcony with a table and chairs and two loungers looking over the beautiful grounds. The property grounds are SPECTACULAR. Huge fountain features everywhere, so when you walk or sit on the balcony you have a beautiful soothing sound of water. Each one is unique and different, adding to the ambiance. The grounds are immaculate. There are pools everywhere. If you want more action, go to the main pool where there is a kids splash area and a zero entry 3-ft deep pool as well as another pool and huge hot tub. The main pool area also has an ice machine which was great to use and change rooms and a fitness area. If you want something more quiet, pick one of the pools around the corner from whatever suite you are in. There is always one just steps away. We debated staying at a resort/hotel with restaurants and bars, etc. and more activity, but chose to try for something more relaxing and quite. This was definitely it. There is a restaurant onsite that was open on the weekends but we never used it. I must say that it was a spa-like experience. Even when the property was quite full, it was very quiet and relaxing. The room was silent day or night - we never heard a noise from units below or beside us. I loved opening the door to the balcony in the morning and the sound from one of the nearby fountains flowing in. There is a security gate at the entry so it always felt safe and no through traffic of any kind. You can also hike alongside the mountains from here too which was neat. We walked to Old Town La Quinta - it took about 20 minutes. Sidewalks are very wide along the streets outside of the resort and very easy to walk or to use the designated bike lane. Parking was never a problem and we simply walked up to our suite. We will definitely be back; I wouldn't even look for anything else to try. The pictures and the descriptions online don't do this property justice. Great for couples, families, kids, seniors.
