This charming log-built terraced cabin is located in a peaceful setting, just a few kilometers from the center of Ruka and the ski slopes. The cabin features a fireplace and a sauna, perfect for warming up after a day spent outdoors. The compact kitchen is fully equipped, and you can enjoy your morning coffee while admiring the view of the Ruka fell summit.

The cabin offers 31 m² plus a 10 m² loft, and includes a living area, a sleeping alcove, and a bathroom. The loft provides sleeping space for three people, and the sleeping alcove accommodates two (non-standard beds). There is a private parking space for the apartment in the yard. A grocery store is within a short walking distance, and the ski bus stop is approximately 200 meters away.

Valtavaara (winter trail):

→ The address is for parking only; the journey continues on foot.
The trail to the summit is marked, steep in places, and the ascent takes a few hours.

Juhannuskallio:
Address: Juhannuskalliontie 27, 93830 Kuusamo
→ Parking is near the Ruka Peak Hotel, and the trail to the summit is only about 300 meters.

Juhannuskallio is the easier option, as it is easily accessible by car. It can be a more comfortable choice especially in the dark. If you enjoy outdoor activities, however, the Valtavaara winter trail is particularly beautiful during daylight hours.

In addition, a new sauna restaurant called Ruka Base has opened in the area, located at the top of the fell. It can be reached by gondola lift (weather permitting). The venue offers stunning views and excellent food, and it can also be a great spot for viewing the northern lights.


Tervetuloa Pikkukeloon!

Tämä ihastuttava kelohirsirivitalo sijaitsee omassa rauhassa, vain muutaman kilometrin päässä Rukan keskustasta ja rinteistä. Mökillä on takka sekä sauna, jotka lämmittävät mukavasti ulkona vietetyn päivän jälkeen. Kompaktista keittiöstä löytyy kaikki tarvittava ja aamukahvit saa nauttia ihaistellen Rukanhhuippua!

Mökin 31 m² + 10 m² parvi sisältää tuvan, makuualkovin ja kylpyhuoneen. Parvella nukkumapaikat kolmelle hengelle ja makuualkovessa kahdelle (ei standardi). Pihalta löytyy huoneiston oma parkkipaikka. Kauppa on pienen kävelyetäisyyden päässä ja skibus pysäkki on n. 200 m päässä.

Juhannuskallio on helpompi kohde, koska autolla pääsee hyvin lähelle. Erityisesti pimeällä se voi olla mukavampi vaihtoehto. Jos taas nautit ulkona liikkumisesta, Valtavaaran talvireitti on erittäin hieno päiväsaikaan.

Lisäksi alueelle on avattu uusi saunaravintola nimeltä Ruka Base, joka sijaitsee tunturin huipulla. Ylös pääsee gondolihissillä (sään salliessa). Paikasta avautuvat upeat näkymät ja siellä on hyvää ruokaa – se voi olla myös erinomainen paikka revontulien katseluun.
