So it’s ideal for a family getaway – perhaps to celebrate a special occasion - or for a group of friends looking to relax or take part in local activities including skiing, hiking, mountain biking, wine tasting and golf. You’ll even find this large house ideal for groups of professionals – perhaps photographers or artists, along with wellness and fitness groups who want somewhere to escape to and practice their craft.

Whoever you’re planning to visit here with, what will be the first thing you notice about this stunning home? Probably the sheer size and scale of the place, with its acres of land to explore outside and its large rooms inside. But maybe you’ll appreciate the warm and welcoming tones of the décor and the relaxing amber lighting. Or the brushed gold and black accents that give the look and feel real elegance. Let’s take a look around and show you what could soon be all yours:

OPEN CONCEPT LIVING AREA
You need space? You’ll get plenty of it in the large living room that’s heated by a gas fire. Find your favorite place to sit with a book or to watch TV or to chat with fellow guests. There’s a large Cognac sectional in here with black suede swivel chairs so, whatever you’re doing, you can experience the ultimate comfort.

DINING
There are two large and long dining tables around which you can all sit for meals and meetings (if you’re here to work). Every seat is comfortable and the views are pretty good too. It’s the ideal space to celebrate the special occasion that’s maybe bringing you all here in the first place – a birthday, anniversary, whatever! You can also play card and board games or host a work meeting (the house is served by fast wifi of course).

THE KITCHEN
You can always tell the size and quality of a house by the size and quality of its kitchen. And you get a huge, chef-style kitchen here with plenty of space to make it easy to cater for your big group. The double oven will certainly help, as will the array of other appliances and the vast selection of cookware and utensils. There’s even breakfast bar style seating which makes for a great place to grab coffee or watch the chef/s in your group do what they do best.

THE 8 BEDROOMS
Choosing your room is always one of the most exciting parts of going away and staying somewhere different. Are you going to decide when you get here or state your claim in advance? Whichever room you get, you’re in for a treat, as they’re all presented to a very high standard. There are kingsizes aplenty to choose from, all in rooms with plenty of storage space for your belongings. One of the bedrooms has bunk beds, which always seem to appeal to younger guests as well as those who are young at heart.

5.5 BATHROOMS
Luxury bathroom suites are to be found everywhere in this impressively luxe home, and at least one if not all of them is sure to suit your style. Towels and toiletries will be provided by your hosts, and you’ll find plenty of storage space for everything you need to bring. Many of the bathrooms are ensuites with large free standing showers. There’s also a handy closet with a toilet and wash basin (which explains the .5 in the subhead above!)

BASEMENT
This fully furnished area of the house is great if some in your group need their own space. There’s a game area in which you can find out who’s the best pool hustler, or the ping pong champion, or simply a natural at skee ball in your group. There’s also a movie theater down here with super comfortable seating, so you can sit back and enjoy the film or whatever you decide to watch on the big screen. If you have kids in your group and ever wonder where they are during your stay, chances are you’ll find them down here!

THE BACKYARD
Although there’s plenty of space inside for everyone to enjoy, you’re sure to want to experience life outside, where there’s plenty to keep you entertained. At the end of a busy day, you can all gather around the firepit and review what happened, and maybe vow to do it all again tomorrow. Some of your group might want to kick back and relax in the hot tub or just sit back on the deck or grass and enjoy the incredible views.

PARKING
As you’ll see from the photos, there is ample parking space outside and around the house for multiple vehicles.

LAUNDRY

Your hosts can’t wait to welcome you into their luxe home from home. Please note that you will have exclusive use of the property for the duration of your stay. The only areas you won’t have access to are the detached oversized garage and one closet in the basement.

Ensuring you all enjoy a memorable stay that gets you telling friends and family about Nicole’s Place is the main aim of your hosts. As a result, they will do all they can to provide you with help during your stay if and when you need it.

The Neighborhood:
The Poconos is a mountain area in northeastern Pennsylvania.

It is 2,400 square miles of wooded mountains and valleys full of beautiful lakes, rivers, forests and wildlife. It has long been popular with honeymooners, but today the Poconos are a popular destination for families, skiers, adventure seekers, NASCAR fans, and those from urban areas around New England, New York City, Philadelphia, and New Jersey, from where the region is quickly accessible by car.

The Poconos are one of the most southern major ski areas in the United States.

Other Things to Note:
With so much to do and enjoy inside the house and on the 10 acres of land around it, this is the sort of place you can come to and not have to leave. But, of course, you may well have made plans to explore the local area. Here’s a brief summary of some of the places you might want to visit:

Ski Resorts – Big Boulder is just one of the major resorts close by, making this the ideal place to stay for those of you who ski, snowboard or snowmobile

Golf – Bring your clubs and book a round at one of the local courses.

Waterpark – younger guests in your group are sure to want to check out Split Rock.

Hiking – two of the most popular spots for hikers in the area are Hawk Falls and Hickory Run State Park. There are some stunning waterfalls and lakes too (great for fishing).

Wineries – take a tour and sample some of the local produce, if that’s your thing.

Drive-in Movie Theatre – this old school entertainment venue is sure to be popular. Wonder what will be showing during your visit!

Shopping – last, but certainly not least, there are plenty of places to browse and buy nearby.

GETTING AROUND
This is the kind of location that you’ll definitely need a car to reach and to explore further afield while you’re here. Of course, you can choose to use bikes or get your hiking boots on to get around at a slower pace if you prefer!
