« Campton Kiyomizu is a traditional Japanese hotel conveniently located in the old town center of Kyoto. There was a near-by grocery store open 24 hours, which we frequented, and taxis were always available. The rooms were spacious, beds comfortable, and all areas were very clean. It even had a washing machine. They gave us comfortable pajamas which we ended up purchasing. « My husband and I are 23F and 24M from the States. We loved our stay here! Beds were very comfortable, foot bath was amazing, and everything was very clean and nice. It was great having a washing machine, dishes, and many toiletries that most places don’t offer. Also, the host held our luggage after checkout since there was not anyone checking in that evening I assume, which was very nice! Not a big issue, but one thing I would recommend is adding another mirror. Maybe a full length one or one...

« Great host and communication. The house is cozy and it had everything we needed. The air conditioning was great in the Japanese heatwave. In just under 10 minutes, you can walk to some of the nicest streets in Kyoto with temples and cafes. However, everything around there closes quite early and becomes really quiet - so be aware if it’s not your vibe. Not a big deal for me, though. The only real issue is that the property is not very accessible: the closest bust stop is about 15 min away and...

« Although this property was an old nice machiya they updated it with a nice bathroom. But the beds were really comfy. I didn’t care for the location because it was far from bus and train station. It’s a long hot walk with all our luggage. Overall I probably wouldn’t stay again because of location but the inn was really great. »
