Dee Dee Villa Retreat is an award winning, opulent, private holiday residence in a prime beachfront location. The property sits in the secluded bay of Haad Thong Lang, in the north-west of Koh Phangan, and faces the islands of Koh Ma and Koh Tao.
Dee Dee Villa Retreat is Thai/European family owned and managed. The retreat has a Thai villa manager living on the estate, in their own self-contained accommodation, who offer a full luxury villa service and an ‘optional’ A-La-Carte Breakfast – Lunch – Dinner menu (seasonal) and Taxi or V.I.P – Van ‘Chauffeur’ service available on request.
Dee Dee Villa Retreat is situated on 1,600 sqm (One Rai) of prime beachfront land using the natural topography, the highest tier is 20 metres above sea level and the lowest tier is Five meters above the beach. The retreat enjoys 100% uninterrupted vistas of sea, sky, sand, jungle, and mountains. The villas are set in beautiful mature Thai tropical gardens with authentic ornaments and a vast variety of flowers/plants, making it a nature haven for butterflies, birds and wildlife.
The 10m x 5m swimming pool is designed with families in mind, offering a safe and enjoyable environment for guests of all ages. Featuring a built-in shallow Whirlpool area ideal for relaxation or play, the pool maintains a maximum depth of 1.5 metres—perfect for both casual swimmers and children. Elegantly positioned on the middle tier of the estate, the pool area benefits from elevated ocean & jungle views, and convenient access from the main villa(s), making it a central feature for daytime leisure and serene- sunset evening swims .
Dee Dee Villa Retreat is within a 10 – minute drive or 40-minute walk of the charming fisherman’s village of Chaloklum, boasting quaint wooden houses, restaurants, bars, small supermarkets, pharmacies and ATM’S.
The smaller village of Mae Haad lies to the west, at a similar distance, and provides comparable services.
The more diverse and buzzing port town of Thong Sala is a 40-minute drive offering international restaurants, bars, delicatessens, fresh fish and meat market(s), Tops Supermarket,Lotus,Big C, Makro and hospital(s).

Villa Design and Interior: Dee Dee Villa Retreat has been meticulously designed and constructed to an award-winning Thai/European standard, thoughtfully integrating the island’s tropical climate—sun, wind, rain, jungle, and nature—into its very fabric. This idyllic and unique location is enhanced with subtle luxurious touches that epitomize an opulent tropical residence. The architectural and design influences draw inspiration from Tropical Thai Living, Jim Thompson, and the Home of Art (Koh Phangan). All artworks and paintings displayed throughout the villa have been exclusively commissioned or acquired by the owners.
Ocean Views: All rooms have Three meter wide sliding Thai teak doors opening out onto 100% uninterrupted ocean views. A Third of your life you spend asleep: All beds are bespoke in Thai teak, all mattresses are pocket sprung to European standard. Pillows are goose/duck down with 100% cotton bed linen.
Air conditioning: Installed in the ensuite bedrooms and Villa living room.
Fans: Ceiling and wall mounted fans and additional standalone fans in All rooms.
Swimming Pool with shallow Whirlpool ( 10 x 5 Meters ): Situated on the middle tier, a family-friendly swimming pool with a maximum depth of 1.5m with built-in shallow Whirlpool/kids-pool, generous decking and sand washed flooring, sun beds with cushions and parasols.
Hammock Sala ( 4 x 6 Meters ): The sala is situated on the third tier of the estate Five meter ‘above’ the beach with direct access via steps. It is furnished with an ornate metal bench, up lighters, power sockets and hammocks.
The Beach: The beach of Haad Thong Lang is one of the few remaining undeveloped bays on Koh Phangan. (We and our guests certainly like it this way).
Sun/ Star Terrace : (4 Meters by 5 Meters): Situated above Villa Two – Bedroom Two with its Saan Phra Phum (Spirit house), this totally private area is ideal for Star Gazing / Meditation / Yoga. (You may even catch a shooting star).
