On the edge of the historic and highly sought after 4th & Gill neighborhood, this home is less than a mile from Old City & a only a short drive to the hottest spots in downtown Knoxville. Custom designed by top interior designer, Brook Phillips, new updates highlight & preserve the unique character of this 1800's Knoxville home. Luxurious comfort meets playful whimsy with space to relax & play. Enjoy the indoor game room with giant chess board, Pac-Man, dual racing arcade games, and more! If you're looking for a true oasis while still enjoying all city life has to offer, this is the place for you. Fair warning–you may not want to leave!

Recently renovated with the goal of balancing true historic charm with a fresh and modern twist, this home features stately brick fireplaces, wide staircases with curved rail detail, shiplap and exposed brick walls, large windows, gorgeous natural light, and antique décor. Whether it's the vintage leaded glass windows in a bedroom, dual sided brick fireplace in the living room, or custom made stone style countertops, you're sure to find unexpected charm around every corner. This vintage character is complimented by modern twists that make each room feel different and unique. Fun rugs, arcade games, life sized indoor chess, comfortable bedding, and intentional layouts are sure to make this stunning space a home you'll want to return to again and again!

The home is stocked with all the amenities you'd find at an upscale hotel and then some. Chef's kitchen is outfitted with everything you could need to make a meal on the gas stovetop including pots, pans, toaster, microwave, salt and pepper, etc. The coffee bar features both a Keurig and a drip coffee pot with ground coffee, coffee filters, K cups, coffee creamer, and sweetener. Whether it's a hair dryer you need, an iron and ironing board, shower essentials like shampoo/conditioner/body wash, fresh linens, luxurious towels, we've got you covered.

First Story:

-Indoor game room including giant chess, Pac-Man arcade game, and dualing race arcade games.
-Main living area with ample seating and SmartTV with Roku for streaming with guest login info
-Fully stocked chef's kitchen with full size appliances, gas stove, and plenty of counterspace for cooking
-Fully stocked coffee bar with Keurig and drip coffee pot, ground coffee, coffee filters, K cups, coffee creamer, and sweetener for the perfect cup of coffee to start off your morning
-Full bathroom with walk in shower
-Laundry room with washer, dryer, and some starter laundry essentials
-Large foyer upon entry with stairs to access upstairs bedrooms, bathrooms, and loft exercise room



Second Story:

- King bedroom 1 with king bed, decorative fireplace, antique vanity with extra sink, seating, and ensuite access to first story shared bathroom
-King bedroom 2 with king bed, decorative fireplace, designated desk space, and additional seating
- Queen bedroom 1 with queen bed and designated desk space
-Twin bedroom with two twin beds and designated desk space
-Full bath accessible by ensuite king bedroom and hallway includes tub/shower combo



Third Story:

- Queen bedroom 2 with queen bed, natural light, and vaulted ceiling
-Queen bedroom 3 with queen bed, exposed brick accent wall, vaulted ceiling (and a subtle nod to Tennessee's favorite team!)
-Twin bedroom with twin bed tucked beside vintage ornate window with additional seating and loft style lounge area
-Exercise room including yoga mat, resistance bands, and balance ball for a great in home workout

-Front porch includes table and chairs
-Fully fenced front yard with iron gate
- Gravel space behind the home will easily accommodate 4-5 vehicles
-Additional parking available on the street in front of the home



Additional Features:

We provide several different types of essentials to start you off during your stay! Depending on the length of your trip, you may wish to purchase additional items as needed. We start all our guests off with:

-Shower essentials: shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soap and toilet paper in each bathroom
-Kitchen essentials: dish soap, dish brush, dishwashing pods, paper towels, salt & pepper
-Coffee essentials: ground coffee, coffee filters, K cups, coffee creamer, and sweetener
- Laundry essentials: laundry pods



PETS: We are pet friendly and happy to welcome pets during your stay! If you plan to bring pets, please read the following pet policy carefully. There is a pet fee of $48 per pet per night plus tax. This will be included in your reservation total prior to booking if pets are included in your reservation. If you need to any help adding pets after your trip is booked, please do not hesitate to let us know! Pet fees are due in full prior to your check in date. By including pets in your reservation or by bringing pets that are not listed in your reservation to the property, you are authorizing us to collect all applicable pet fees. Please note, cancellations requested based on issues with the pet policy or pet fee outlined above will not be considered.

PARTY DISCLAIMER: We respect our neighbors and have a ZERO tolerance for parties. Unless you have received written permission, any unregistered guests will constitute the beginning of a party, and your reservation will be cancelled immediately without refund. Your account will also be reported and may be banned from the booking platform. Furthermore, we will pursue any and all legal measures afforded to us by law (in combination with the booking platform company) for any damage. We have retained legal counsel solely to pursue party guests. We want our guests to enjoy our home to the fullest, but this is NOT the place to have a party. We appreciate your cooperation.

SECURITY CAMERA DISCLAIMER: There are security cameras located on the exterior of the home at the front door facing the porch and at the back facing the gravel parking area. Cameras record audio and visual.

TRAVEL INSURANCE: We highly recommend purchasing travel insurance for your trip. Travel insurance is a guaranteed option to ensure you are able to receive reimbursement for a covered event should circumstances arise that prevent you from traveling as planned (ex: medical/family emergencies, illness, work obligations, inclement weather, etc). Please confirm with your chosen travel insurance company as to a comprehensive list of all covered events. Please note, we are not able to issue a cancellation, trip change, or refund outside of the listing policy and will refer you back to your travel insurance should your trip plans change.

RENTAL AGREEMENT: We require a signed rental agreement within 24 hours of booking. A government issued ID is required to be provided along with the signed rental agreement.

SECURITY DEPOSIT HOLD: A security deposit is required for this home. This deposit will be automatically posted to the payment method on file 3 days prior to check in date and is due no later than the day of check in. This deposit is not a charge or extra payment, but it is a $250 hold only. The only way any amount would be charged to the card on file would be if we provide details of damaged items, excessively dirty items or areas of the home, etc. This hold is released automatically 3 days following check out.

Kitchen was totally equipped and ready for use. We used 5 of the bedrooms and everyone said they had the most sound sleep in a long time! We all met there very easily, coming from 4 different states to attend a family wedding. Location is perfect. I absolutely recommend this wonderful home for any occasion!

A graduation gathering

My family and I had a great time at this property as we gathered for our youngest son’s graduation! The house had enough rooms and bathrooms to take care of everyone. The property was clean, well located, and fun. The property manager was communicative and helpful. The arcade games were a fun bonus! I highly recommend!

Wonderful stay at Urban Oasis

My family of eight spent four nights at Urban Oasis while in Knoxville for a wedding. Beds were comfortable, plenty of room to spread out, everything clean and in order when we checked in. The teens and younger child loved the arcade and chess/checker game. The kitchen was well equipped though we did not use much other than the toaster and refrigerator. Parking on the street or behind the house was fine. Communication with the management company was prompt and clear. Would recommend this property to anyone needing room for a larger group. No complaints!

Great But The Photos

Our stay was great. 8 friends traveled here from Portland and SanDiego for the Big Ears Festival. Clean, comfortable, more cookware than most properties I’ve stayed in in the past. Close enough to The Old City that it was an easy walk. My only issue is that the photos, having been manipulated for a hopeful sale of the property show a much brighter, whiter, fresher version of the spaces within. Somewhat deceptive. Regardless, I would gladly rent this location again for next year’s Festival. If I only knew the dates.

Old world feel

This home is probably 100+ years old and has been updated with modern amenities and beautifully renovated. The morning light streaming in through the many windows and reflecting off of the white walls and bedding, allow the exposed brick and amazing hardwood floors to take center stage. It’s absolutely beautiful with an old world feel! The interior of this home is truly like something out of a design magazine. But I’d say the biggest perk to this space is the ownership! We never met them, but the communication was the best of any place we’ve ever stayed. The neighborhood is going through a transition, so there’s construction across the street. When I mentioned that to the homeowner, he went and purchased white noise machines for each of the bedrooms and dropped them off at the house for us, while we were at the ballfield. That was such an attentive response, which we all really appreciated, because we didn’t hear the construction at all the second morning.

The house is in great shape and was clean. Instructions were clear and timely. access was quite easy. We were very happy to be able to stay together, my brothers family and I while we were in town to visit our brother that lives in TN. Cute home near downtown!

This house is absolutely adorable! Plenty of room for large groups, amazing kitchen, and great game room. Our group thoroughly enjoyed our weekend here and would 100% book here again. We honestly spent the majority of our time hanging out on the front porch and when we weren’t there, you could find us all playing games in the living room. Overall great place to stay and great host!

Super spacious, we used all 7 bedrooms. Comfy beds and pillows. Enjoyed the game room and front porch. Mike the property manager was awesome and quick. Definitely would stay here again.

Nice older house

The house was nice and clean. The only negative things was that there was only two TVs in the whole house and there was no trash bags and no dishwashing soap to start the dishwasher when we left but other than that the house was nice and clean and just as described.

Hospice Clinical Team

We are the clinical leadership of our hospice based here in Knoxville. We traveled from Missouri, Virginia, South Carolina, and West Tennessee to get some work done and to fellowship. This was the perfect environment. (i couldn't select "other" in the "who stayed here")

Perfect for an extended family getaway

We had a wedding in Knoxville and we had three families that wanted to stay together. This was a perfect setup. The house gave plenty of room for everyone. The arcade games were also a hit!
