« The location of this single wide mobile home was incredible; on the banks of the Winchuck River and a ten minute walk to the beach! We watched waterfowl, heard owls and saw a fox. However, the mobile home itself was worn out, and there was an overpowering smell of air freshener that no amount of fresh air could dissipate. We messaged the owner twice about animal noises coming from underneath the trailer. »

« This rental ended up being even cuter than the photos! Note that it is a duplex. We didn't have any neighbors during our stay. Nice and clean, and we very much appreciated that the place and the linens didn’t smell of cleaner or fragrances. Great location close to Redwood National Park and the ocean. Our only small issues (which did not detract from our stay at all): the mattress does sag a bit toward the middle, and the bathroom sink drains a little slowly. « The property welcomed our pet and when our plans changed & we could not bring her, the Manager promptly refunded the pet fee. The kitchen was adequate, appliances above average, there were plenty of towels and hot water, and the home was clean.It was a 3 minute drive to the Redwoods visitor center and five more to the Redwoods Grove. Golden Grove is an excellent home to stay in to explore the redwoods.Disappointments were the porch light was burned out making it difficult to see the access codes...

"The room is very old, with a broken floor and toilet. There is no soundproofing at all—you can hear cars and trucks all night long without stopping. The light outside is extremely bright, so even with the curtains closed, the room stays very well lit at night. It’s really cheap, but you definitely get the night that comes with the price."
