Patti O'Duck is located in the Town of Duck, this oceanside home is approximately 1750 feet from the Bayberry Bluffs neighborhood beach access. It is dog-friendly for up to 2 pets.

Beds: 2 King Masters, 1 Pyramid Bunk Master, 2 Twin Beds; 8 Towel Sets provided

TOP LEVEL:
The Great Room is a roomy space for relaxation and enjoying the surrounding views. There is a large flat-screen TV and a sectional couch offers plenty of seating. The dining area (seats 8), kitchen island (seats 6) and a well-equipped kitchen with beverage center is prepared for entertaining and preparing meals. Guests have access to the sun decks to the front and back of the house with an outdoor dining table; there is also a screened porch with picnic table. A half bath is located on this level. The King Master Suite has a private deck and tiled shower in its master bath. An elevator connects all levels of this home. [Note: gas fireplace is not available for guest use.]

MID LEVEL:
This level has 2 bedrooms which flank the den in the center of the floor. The second King Master Suite has access to the mid level deck where the hot tub is located. The other bedroom is a Pyramid Bunk Master Suite for children; it bathroom has a shower/tub combo. On the covered back deck, there is deck furniture and a hot tub for the adults to enjoy.

GROUND LEVEL:
A Lounge has a wet bar and beverage center for another place for family members to hang out. There is a semi-private full bath (shower/tub combo) that is shared with a bedroom that has 2 Twin beds. The pool deck outside has several unique amenities including a Tiki Bar with TV, wet bar, mini-fridge and microwave. An outdoor half bath is available for those guests using the outdoor amenities too. Relax around the private pool (17' x 27'; open mid-May to mid-October) while enjoying swimming and sunning.

  • One of the northernmost towns along the coast in North Carolina, Duck is an idyllic town on the shores of the Currituck Sound. This shot was taken from the town's boardwalk while looking West over the sounds. It is advisable to visit the location in Winter as that is off season - so you can spend more time taking in the beauty of the North Carolina coastline and also sunsets are usually much more picturesque around the time owing to the cooler temperatures and lower amount of atmospheric haze. Plenty of things around Duck to see. Further north, there is the Currituck Lighthouse where you can climb the steps to the top of the lighthouse. North of Corolla, there is an area where you can drive along the coast on the sand - 4X4s a must. Here you can spot some Spanish Mustangs, horses out in the wild. If you're lucky, you can spot them running along the beach in the surf. I'd recommend taking a tour through the Corolla Wild Horse Fund - the money from the tours is used to help the wild horses in every which way possible and the staff are knowledgeable and friendly. Beautiful property! Easy walk to beach & shops. Pool area was wonderful. Appliances (stove, washers, fridge) were fantastic. The beds were a little uncomfortable.

Great house, has all the essentials and more- lots of pool toys, beach toys, beach chairs and a beach cart… no need to bring anything of the sort! But when they say to bring things like a bath mat and hand soap, bring them! You’ll get a detailed list of items to bring and we really did need all of it. It was about a 10 minute walk to the beach, and just a 5 minute walk to the boardwalk(if you want to walk way down to Scarborough Faire it’s a decent 25 minute walk at least.) Something maybe strange to write about, but I appreciated was that the procedures for check out were super simple. Some places have you do a ton of things and it’s stressful to get it all done while packing. And lastly, the rental company was very quick in resolving an issue we had with a broken toilet. The only photo I have from the top deck looking out towards the ocean is at night, but this gives an idea of how far it is. You have a nice view!This house is wonderful, thanks for sharing it!

The Best!

We just got back a week ago from Patti O’ Duck. I can honestly say, this is the cleanest most beautiful house we have ever stayed at. We didn’t get in the car to go anywhere for the entire week because the house had absolutely everything. From a fully equipped kitchen to the outdoor tiki bar, it was all here. I am sort of funny about going barefoot in a rental house, sitting on bedspreads and putting my clothes away in drawers, but not here…this house was so clean. Beautiful house was more than we expected. Already booked for next year!

Spacious and beautiful

This beautiful home and yard were perfect for our group of 4 adults and 3 kids. A short walk to town or to the beach let us enjoy much of Duck! Lots of bathrooms, spacious bedrooms, well-provided kitchen (but not pancake griddle) and awesome fireplace in the gathering room gave us the space to sleep well, and hang out well. Decks for sun and shade and a hot tub!

Fabulous First

This was our first visit to OBX and we really enjoyed Patty ODuck. It was a good location near the boardwalk and close proximity for many activities. The house was ideal for party time in the pool together with everyone at the Tiki bar and music and the colored pool lights. We walked to the beach (15 minutes) which was a little further than expected, and back to the outdoor shower, which was great. We didn't know there were beach chairs and lounge chairs or pool toys etc. All of that was there to use but we didn't use, since we brought out own. The house was set up well and accurate to what was described. Only 7 chairs at kitchen table. Be sure to bring handsoaps, handtowels, tp, laundry supplies and trashbags, there was none of that provided. There are nightlights and a chime system for when lower doors opened. The fenced in yard was great for our dog (lots of freedom) there was just one section of the 2nd floor near the swing chairs that needed to be blocked. Overall, the house was great!

Lovely Time in Duck

We had the best time - family get together, house was perfect tons of out door decks and spaces to gather, comfortable bedrooms. Pool not open yet but we knew that going in April - will be back for sure !!
