On a quest to find the perfect beach house in Duck? The hunt ends and your vacation story begins when you reserve Moby Duck for your next trip to the Outer Banks. This four bedroom home is located in the Saltaire neighborhood and offers both ocean and sound views, including a fabulous panoramic view from the rooftop observation deck. Situated right in the heart of town, Moby Duck is a short walk or bike ride to the best shopping and dining around including the Blue Point, Duck Deli and the Waterfront Shops. From there, stroll along the soundside boardwalk to the Town of Duck public park, where events, festivals and live performances are held at the outdoor amphitheater. Best of all, a beach access exclusively for guests of the Saltaire community is located at the end of the street!

The unique open-concept layout on the top level, centered around a massive skylight, provides a bright and airy space for spending quality time with family and friends. When you're not dining out, prepare meals in the spacious kitchen, featuring stainless steel appliances, seating at the bar and plenty of counterspace. All four of the bedrooms are conveniently located together on the mid level, along with two full bathrooms. Three levels of decking plus a screened porch provide endless opportunities for enjoying the outdoors. Moby Duck is pet-friendly and welcomes your furry friends, who will love accompanying you on walks to the beach and around town.

  • One of the northernmost towns along the coast in North Carolina, Duck is an idyllic town on the shores of the Currituck Sound. This shot was taken from the town's boardwalk while looking West over the sounds. It is advisable to visit the location in Winter as that is off season - so you can spend more time taking in the beauty of the North Carolina coastline and also sunsets are usually much more picturesque around the time owing to the cooler temperatures and lower amount of atmospheric haze. Plenty of things around Duck to see. Further north, there is the Currituck Lighthouse where you can climb the steps to the top of the lighthouse. North of Corolla, there is an area where you can drive along the coast on the sand - 4X4s a must. Here you can spot some Spanish Mustangs, horses out in the wild. If you're lucky, you can spot them running along the beach in the surf. I'd recommend taking a tour through the Corolla Wild Horse Fund - the money from the tours is used to help the wild horses in every which way possible and the staff are knowledgeable and friendly. Great time in Duck

My family (6 adults and 1 dog) had a great time at Moby Duck. Location is EVERYTHING with this property. Nice walk to the beach, but the best was the incredible location to the bayside and the nature boardwalk. The house itself was pretty accurate to the listing. I would say the bathrooms need some love, but living spaces were great. The beds are super comfy which can be a struggle with rental places. Some of the outside space needed work. The screened in porch was pretty tattered, a bunch of the screens were damaged or missing. Overall this place was awesome and I would highly recommend. There are no beach chairs or umbrellas provided, we rented for the week.

Great location

The house was close to everything. Kitchen was well stocked. House was decorated very nice. Wish there were better window coverings in the bathroom and bedrooms and no beach chairs or anything. Overall, we would stay again!!

Large home with great decks, lots of fun indoor games and activities provided for kids, fully equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, and within walking distance of the beach and sound side boardwalk. Perfect for our multi-generational family of 6.

Excellent location in the heart of Duck.

We loved the location of the property. It’s in the heart of Duck and a short walk to the shops and restaurants. The view from the decks are lovely looking at the sound. The higher deck has a small view of the ocean. The beach is a little bit of a walk. Evidently there is a beach pass to allow you to park at the end of the street. It would have nice if it was left for us at the house. The home is a bit dated , but clean. Most other homes we’ve rented in the past provided beach chairs and etc. We couldn’t find any. Also , no hair dryer. FYI. Bring one from home. Thanks for a fun stay.
