« My stay at Gorilla Valley Lodge was wonderful. The staff was incredibly kind and accommodating, and the gardens and properties are beautiful with views overlooking the forest (including the mountain where we did our gorilla trek!). The restaurant area sits atop a hill overlooking a valley with 360 views of the mountains and scenery. The entire property is very peaceful and the restaurant served a three-course meal every evening. The rooms were clean with little welcoming touches when we arrived....

« The island is idyllic - Robert and his team provided a great service. The food was good (but wine expensive!). The swimming jetty is very rotten and the steps into the lake have disappeared so swimming is very difficult (unless you go through the mud). The cottages are different sizes and the showers vary in quality. The beds were very comfortable. Despite the slight negatives (and I am sure Robert will be on it when he reads this) we would definitely go again and stay a little longer than the...
