The home was great, clean, well decorated and stocked. What we really didn't like was the 10am checkout policy which makes you rush on the last morning and ruins the vacation vibe.

Property was as as described and shown in pictures and fit our large extended family with an age range of Grandparent all the way down to 1.5 years old without issue. Kings beach is right down the road and so is grocery store and various restaurants and hiking trails. We all had a great time and would certainly stay again!

Mostly Good!

The were a lot of positive things about the property. The location was great, right between Northstar and King’s Beach. It was big and looked better than the pictures in real life. The kitchen was a good size and was well-equipped. However, it definitely needed some TLC. The spout in the bathroom kept falling off and the pull out bed was broken. The mattress had to be put on the floor to use. When I contacted the company they were responsive but there was inconsistent follow through from the local people who were supposed to fix it. The house would be awesome with some updating.

Happy New Year

We rung in the new year at this great home. Perfect location - beautiful walks out the front door, easy drive to beach and town. And a short drive to several ski resorts. Would stay again!

Great family house

This large home nicely accommodated our immediate family while we were in Kings Beach for a large family reunion The living and dining area, and the kitchen were well furnished with all we needed. We did have to request more towels and we requested someone to come in repair the hot tub. The garage door opener was non-functioning, and we were unable to get someone to come and fix it while we were there.

Great house with some management issues

Overall, this house met all our space needs for our daughter’s wedding weekend, and would recommend it to others with some advice. In a prior review, we knew to bring some supplies like ziplock bags and tin foil. All supplies ran low and we restocked TP, paper towel, laundry soap) Other supplies were also running very low esp. Soap dispensers in the bathrooms. Make sure ahead of time if the hot tub is ready for use. For us it wasn’t, and wasn’t prepped and usable until the day before our departure. 6 parking spots we’re advertised but due to so much snow and ice uncleared from the driveway/ we barely had 4. It’s a great location and close to lake but the only walking route is on the hwy. I would give this house another chance but know what to expect ahead of time.

Perfect for the hole family

Everything was perfect! I would definitely come back during the summer. Only thing the garbage was full so left it in the garage. Other than that everything was perfect.

Very clean and nice.

The house was clean and big enough for us all. We couldn't use the bbq due to the about 3 feet of snow blocking it. Driveway was iced over and dangerous, my father fell and hurt himself pretty bad. No internet the whole time and kept getting told they were working on it and there was a power page and it would be an hour, we were told that for two days. Not enough towels for half of us. Could not find anywhere to put the trash so we left the full bags in the garage. There was no dishwasher detergent to run the dishwasher. No foil, plastic wrap, ziploc bags, etc. One bracket holding up the TV satellite box is falling off. Overall it was a good stay and clean. Just wish the basic things you would expect from a vacation house were available.

Location is Awesome

While the location is AWESOME and we enjoyed our stay we were a bit disappointed by the hospitality. If a house sleeps 13 and has three bathrooms there should be AMPLE towels. If your house sleeps 13 and you have pull outs...They should be made or there should at least be linens readily available. If you have a drawer labled dish towels and a Beautiful Kitchen with Great Service pieces and lots of pots and pans...There should actually be dish towels. If there are containers on the wall that say shampoo and conditioner they should be full. And If you ask me to run the dishwasher...there should be diswasher soap. (the lack of dishwasher soap is one of the reasons we down graded cleanliness I am a little concerned that there were uncleaned dishes. Also some of the pillows were pretty nasty (which we noticed when we stripped our linens at the end of the stay) I would stay at the home again (and pack accordingly). But if I owned the property I would not be pleased with VACASA.

Loved this house, no monster staircases to navigate

As you know when you go skiing, where you stay often has major steep staircases since you're traveling among mountains/slopes. For our trip, which requires lugging four large suitcases and groceries for days, a LACK of steep inclines is a huge benefit. This place you can park and get to the bedroom or kitchen taking just a half-staircase in either case, soooo accessible. I can focus on this minor perk because this place totally covers the basics of any awesome VRBO. It has a great layout for three families (12 total) and comfortable clean accommodation, and it's no more than 35 minutes drive to Squaw Valley, Alpine Meadows, or Mt. Rose (our favorite - higher elevation/better snow). Two of the 4 bedrooms has their own bathroom with the other two sharing a bathroom. There's also a top level loft with even more sleeping space. Plenty of towels, plates, and shampoo/conditioner. What's more I would automatically give this place 5 stars because of Alexandra's super-responsiveness. When the code she gave us to enter home didn't work, she picked up after a few rings on our first call. She was just as timely responding to our other inquiries. I would also give this place 5 stars because of the heat and power of the enormous jacuzzi, so lovely on sore bones from a day snowboarding. The kitchen was well equipped and this is one of the few places I've seen in Tahoe (under four digits a night) that has a dining table that seats 10. I do want to note, being as frank as possible, that the reviews on the WiFi issues are valid (easily resolved) as well as the heat not being as strong on the bottom floor (plenty of blankets to make up for it). We are hoping we can return to this great space in the future.

4 days stay before new 2020 year

Location is great , Taho lake 3-4 min away, house is wonderful with great architecture, enough light at the kitchen and over kitchen dining table, not slippery driest and it is not steep, kitchen is fully equipped. We loved kitchen. Plenty of space for everyone but not enough linens. My kids wanted to stay at the loft and there was no linens for sofa. One garbage bin at the loaf was full, probably they forgot to clean. Host does not answer phone b/w 12 am and 7:59 am. We arrived to the house late and half of the house did not have a light. We called twice , no one answered till after 8 am when we were leaving to Northstar and we were guided how to fix it. Neither Alexandara nor VRBO taken responsibility for that even though upon booking with VRBO it says 24/7 service.

Fantastic stay!

We enjoyed our holidays at the Canterbury House!! It is in the perfect location, has the friendliest of neighbors and it snowed. The house fit our family’s needs and we were not left wanting for more. This house was fantastic and Alex, the owner, was great! Very helpful and punctual with replies. Would love to stay here again!!

Wonderful stay!

We had a great time in this beautiful cabin! There was plenty of space for our 3 families and we loved relaxing in the hot tub. Owner was so great to work with we even left something at the cabin and she was able to look for it and send it back to us. Great vacation and we would definitely stay there again! Thanks 😊
