Welcome to Casa De Paz

Centrally located in the heart of Kill Devil Hills! Casa de Paz or Peaceful House. Walking distance to new Publix grocery store, restaurants and activities like putt-putt. Spend your days at the beach or cooking out in the spacious backyard. Well-suited for a large family or multiple households vacationing together. One of the very few streets with pedestrian crosswalks that ensures safe crossing to the public beach access while also offering the quiet sound side neighborhood.

The ground floor is not available to guests.

The house was just like the pictures, a little smaller than expected but it was very clean and close to the beach and stores. Our only real issue is the refrigerator is broke, the water and ice have to be locked or else you have a mess on your hands, the water filters needed replaced as the refrigerator water and ice tasted terrible, and the outdoor shower doesnā€™t work neither does the water hose out front. There is also no dressers to store clothes (which isnā€™t a big deal just wish we would have brought clothes hangers). The king size master bed was super comfortable but one of the guest rooms has a terrible mattress. Also, a lot of packages got delivered during our stay and when messaging the host she never responded. We came back from the beach and the packages were gone.

My husband and I brought our 3 boys for a long weekend at one of my favorite escapes. The house was great, VERY clean, and very convenient not only in location but all of the appliances/dishes available. I love being able to find everything I need when Iā€™m cooking and this house provides all of that and beyond. The rooms are great, the beds are very comfy - everyone slept well and enjoyed their personal space. The only reason I didnā€™t give this house 5 stars is in part to a lack of my own due diligence. We were down to 2 houses - this one and one on the other side of the main road, closer to the water. The reason our boys chose this one was because of the awesome driveway and basketball hoop in the pictures (our boys LOVE basketball and play all the time) and it says there is a fire pit (there is an indoor fireplace, but no fire pit). That being said, a basketball hoop was not included in the list of amenities, so I should have asked the property manager instead of making the assumption that because there was one in the pictures, it was still there. The boys tried to hide their disappointment, but I knew better and was very upset initially. But I made myself suck it up and remember what itā€™s all about - getting away, being together, and having fun and we did do that. The putt putt course nearby is one of our favorites so we made sure to stop there as well as all of the other great parts of KDH. I would definitely recommend this house for anyone. Very nice

We had 9 people (5 adults, 4 kids) and had enough room, but pushing it with 4 kids. We knew the size of the place going in, so by no means a complaint. But if you have that many people and prefer to spread out more, keep that in mind. The back deck could use some updating, itā€™s definitely showing its age but the house itself was great, clean.The owner was very responsive. We were happy with the location as well.

This property was everything we needed for our party of 8! It was clean and nicely decorated. We really appreciated that there were plenty of beach towels, extra pillows and blankets, and all the kitchen appliances we could possibly need. We also enjoyed using the outdoor game. The location was great with only a short, easy walk to the beach. The host was very helpful and responsive. The only negative was that only 2 trash bags and 2 rolls of toilet paper were provided for such a large party. We knew we may have to purchase more, but 2 of each was very minimal for the price. Overall, it was a wonderful vacation stay and we would definitely book again!

This was a great location, the home was clean with spacious entertaining space for our family of 9. I wish they had another bathroom so that we didn't have to share a bathroom with our children (lol) but that's out of their control. We did run out of trash bags. Once we used what was already provided in the can there we couldn't find any more. Other than that it was an amazing stay. They have everything in the kitchen that you would need to cook. If you are going to be traveling with more than 5-6 people make sure that you bring extra washcloths as there weren't enough.

This was a beautiful home close to the beach! The home had just enough room for everyone to have their own space after being together all day. Host was prompt to respond and answer any questions we had. Will definitely be returning and telling family and friends of the home. If anything, I would suggest making sure you bring toiletries. Overall a great place to vacation.

We had a brief weekend stay at Caza De Paz. Easy to find, down the street from groceries - super convenient. From the minute we walked in we felt a welcoming, cozy, clean vibe. All the necessities from home. Comfortable beds, everything was super clean! Only a few negatives, canā€™t really walk to the beach as itā€™s on the other side of the highway. Would have loved to have had at least one full length mirror, the downstairs was not open and accessible and backyard although clean, the hammock was old stretched out and not able to use. Would have loved if it was fenced in so our dogs had free run to play. Other than that we had a great time, felt safe and everything was updated and within mins of everything we needed. Highly recommend for the price! Thank you!

For the price the house was small. I believe once they finish the basement it will be much nicer. Outside furniture was dirty and the back deck is small for the amount of people you can have in the house. The grill requires charcoal which is not the easiest thing to cook on for a large group it really needs another bathroom or at least a half bath. Location was great for us. The host was very quick to answer any of our questions. Just wish there was more to the house for entertaining. and to be able to spread out more

Great property for our family vacation. The location was walking distance to the beach, grocery store, and mini golf course. Plenty of towels were provided, including beach towels, which was great. Easy to clean up with a hose out front and outdoor shower in the back. We spent most of our time outside of the house (at the beach, around OBX, etc.), however, everything we needed was found in the house.

Beautiful, clean home in a quiet neighborhood, yet close to everything! If you are concerned about the distance to the beach (I was) let me put your mind at ease. It's well within walking distance, even with an 8 year old after a day in the ocean. Cannot recommend enough!!

The house was clean and sheets and towels were provided. The house is much smaller than expected and you have no access to garage or anywhere to store any beach equipment brought with you. The location is convenient to Publix and the main drive in town and the mini golf right there was great. A bit longer walk to the beach bc you have to cross the Main Street. The neighborhood is mostly full time residents and not many rentals so felt a bit out of place and some of the surrounding houses were not great. The yard of the property also needs better maintenance. The grass was quite long and there were a lot of bugs. There is also an electrical cord running from the box in the yard through the backyard and into the house which is peculiar and not safe to play around so basically unusable. The ā€œgrillā€ on property is laughable and unusable as well. The grill has a spatula that has been sitting outside with it for so long that it is now rusted to the grill. The kitchen in this house needs some improvement. The knives were awful so dull you could barely slice a tomato and no way to sharpen them. No scissors and lacking several other essentials. The washing machine is in the kitchen and main living area and is extremely loud, hard to watch a movie or hangout when it is running. There is only one tub in the house and there is no stopper for it so had to shove a wash cloth in it to bath the kids. The house needs some more updates but it worked enough for our short stay.

The stay was fine other then finding a dead roach in the livingroom that I had no problem with. Until the owner wanted to charge me $150 for 2 towels being dirty which could of been washed with the sheets by the cleaning lady and being told the bathroom smelt like cigarettes which no one in my party smokes and if I did why would I chose to do it in the bathroom. So just watch this lady dont try to get extra money off you but the place was overall alright
