Welcome to Turning Tide - Cambridge Cove at Bermuda Bay!


As you pull into the Cambridge Cove neighborhood, part of the Bermuda Bay community, you may wonder if you took a wrong turn somewhere and have ended up on a Caribbean island. The vibrant hues of the homes and the pool in the community are bright and cheerful and create a fabulous first impression of your Outer Banks vacation home.

This community is widely known for enjoying sunset viewing and quiet vacationing. The exclusive amenities available to you as a guest of this wonderful resort include a lazy river, sparkling pools, a fun splash pad with various water features lots of fun toys, and plenty of sun loungers for relaxing. The Elbow Beach Clubhouse includes a fitness center, lounge area, pool table, and a full bathroom for guest use. The clubhouse and fitness center are open year-round from 7:00am to 9:00pm. The Bay has a pier perfect for fishing, launching kayaks, or just enjoying the view.

Every member of the family can find something to enjoy here! If you're longing to feel the sand in your toes and simply must visit the beach, it's a very convenient 1.1 mile drive from the Bermuda Bay communities to the beautiful Kill Devil Hills beaches.

You will LOVE this beautiful 4 story townhome! It is the perfect property for couples or families traveling together because it offers such wonderful privacy. The cheery seafoam green exterior will brighten both your day and your spirits! At your Cambridge Cove vacation property, you will enjoy a true rarity on the Outer Banks - your own private garage! In addition, enjoy lovely outdoor seating from both En Suites, as well as the living area! Eat your meals al fresco!

As you enter through the first level, you will walk right into the sunny den, with a sleep sofa, a fun foosball table and a flat screen TV. What a great spot for a little friendly competition or just to curl up with a good book! On the second level are the two Queen En Suites, both with sliding glass doors out to the private balconies. Bring your morning coffee out here and enjoy the breeze and maybe some great people-watching, too! This level also features the laundry area.

The third level, in true Outer Banks fashion, is the spacious great room. With high ceilings, an open floor plan and decorated in coastal blues and yellows, this area is the welcoming heart of the home. A comfortable seating group encourages company and conversation, and the open kitchen creates a great flowing space so everyone can be part of it.

The chef in the group will love to claim the upgraded kitchen, with granite counters, stainless steel appliances and plenty of workspace. Enjoy your meal at the dining table for 6 and discuss the day's fun and plan for the evening's events. Or if you prefer, take your meal to the table on the deck for a wonderful al fresco dining experience! The fourth level bonus area has two twin beds so the kids in the group get to enjoy their own private space.

Turning Tide is pet-friendly, so there is no need to leave your pooch at home! For a small one-time fee of $155, you can bring up to two dogs to our pet-friendly property. No cats or other animals, dogs only.

This property has 2 parking spots for guests.

**The Bermuda Bay community private outdoor community pools and/or waterpark play areas are available, weather permitting, beginning on weekends only (Friday to Sunday) May 1 to May 17. Beginning May 22, the pool will be open daily and close on October 1 for the season. Please know that pool operating dates are subject to change at any point, for any reason.**

Check-In begins at 4pm. Your keyless entry code will begin granting access at this time.
Check-Out is 10am.

The accommodations were lovely. I wish the beds had been a bit bigger and there seemed to be no salt pepper or spices. We loved the foosball table and the location was perfect.

On our second day we had construction crews come without notice and start repairing rotten walls on the third floor balcony(the one you want to sit and relax on drinking coffee in the morning, eating dinner on at night). They were sawing, hammering, tearing wood out so our three year old couldn’t nap, we couldn’t stay in the place cause that’s all you could hear. After the first construction day they screwed in a 2x4 blocking us from going out on that balcony. Very disappointing to say the least. It’s like they didn’t care we paid good money to have a nice relaxing week, and to think that the next week was after Labor Day, the end of summer. They couldn’t wait one week to start all this in the offseason. And the stairs…….my wife and I are in relatively good shape, but if you have any ailments don’t even think about staying here cause you’ll be doing about a 1000 stairs a day. Three floors of stairs and the kitchen is on the third floor. We have requested a refund for two days as we were not able to enjoy all the amenities that we wanted too and for the pure annoyance my family and I had to endure. I sure hope KEES management will promptly take care of this. We also had a tub that wouldn’t drain and the WiFi didn’t work for about a day and a half. Overall, the place is not where I would stay ever again

The pool area was great. The condo was nice, but be prepared for stairs and more stairs. Someone needs to clean the air return vent. But otherwise, the condo was clean.

The house was very clean and was perfect for us. We had no issues with the exception of being one mile from the beach, but they advertised this on their website. We would stay again.

good for a weekend getaway

The door that has the combination lock to gain entry doesn't have a deadbolt on the inside. Other properties we have stayed at does and we had two toddlers who were very interested in opening the door. Floors were not as cleaned as I had hoped.My 2 year old really enjoyed the community pool and it was nice to have access to it for a weekend getaway

We all loved it

The neighborhood was really nice. Closer to beach( 5 mins driving) , stores and restaurants. The pool was really nice. We loved we could bring lunch and eat by the pool. Clean house and big! I would say is so far one of the best rebtal places we staying in.

Good stay

Simply and timely communication from the property manager. Easy check-in process. Clean and plenty of beds for a family of four. In dog friendly community with park/dog park within walking distance. Short drive to the beach. Enjoyed our stay.
