A Note on Maui's Wild Roosters

One of the charms of staying in Maui is experiencing the island exactly as locals do — and that includes our feathered neighbors! Maui County does not restrict roosters, and free-roaming roosters are a common and protected part of life across the island. You may see or hear them near the property at various times, including early morning hours — it's all part of the authentic Hawaii experience!

Roosters tend to be most active around dawn (5–6am) and quiet down by mid-morning. We provide a LectroFan white noise machine for your comfort, and light sleepers may also want to pack earplugs.
