The Neighborhood:

Kalama Beach Park is across the street, with an oceanfront path, grassy picnic space, volleyball, tennis, and a reliable sunset scene. Next door, Cove Beach Park is a familiar starting point for surf lessons, paddleboarding, and kayaking. The surrounding stretch of South Kihei Road is full of casual eateries, rental shops, and coffee stops. The Kamaole Beach Parks are nearby for swimming and snorkeling. It is a lively, highly walkable corner of Kihei for travelers who want to step straight into the day's beach plans.



Getting Around:

Kahului Airport is about 20 to 30 minutes away, an easy drive down Maui's sunny south shore. A rental car is recommended to make the most of Kihei's many beaches, shops, and restaurants spread along the coast. Some stretches near South Kihei Road are walkable to dining and shopping, while beaches are often just minutes away. Parking is typically available on site, in lots, or along nearby streets.
