Bring the whole group to Haleakala Shores, a well-kept condominium community in the heart of South Kihei, directly across South Kihei Road from Kamaole Beach Park III. Your reservation includes two private 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom condos: four bedrooms and four bathrooms in all, two full kitchens, two living rooms and two private lanais, with the community pool, barbecue areas and one of Maui's favorite family beaches all just steps away.



What we guarantee: Both condos are always inside Haleakala Shores. Unit A is a 2-bedroom condo and Unit B is a 2-bedroom condo, with exactly the beds listed below in every bedroom. Unit A's lanai looks toward the mountains, with an ocean view from its dining area; Unit B's lanai takes in the garden and the ocean. Both homes are kept to the same quality standard, with finishes similar to what you see in these photos. If we ever could not deliver that, you would approve the alternative first or receive a full refund.

The 4 bedrooms sleep 8 guests at 2 per bedroom, and the sleeper sofa in each living room sleeps 2 more, adding 4 additional guests for a combined maximum of 12.



Unit A pairs a king bedroom with a second bedroom furnished with two twin beds, a flexible setup for kids, friends or a parent traveling with the family. Unit B pairs a king bedroom with a queen bedroom, an easy fit for two couples. Each condo has its own fully equipped kitchen, a living and dining area with a sleeper sofa, two bathrooms and a private lanai, so both halves of the group have their own space to cook, relax and come and go on their own schedule.



Good to know before you book: each condo has its own front door and its own entry details. Both buildings at Haleakala Shores have elevators, parking is covered, and the beach, shops and restaurants of South Kihei are all within an easy walk. There is a 4-night minimum, with check-in from 3 PM and check-out by 11 AM.



The Space:

Unit A (2BR): Unit A is a two-bedroom, two-bathroom condo with an open living and dining area, a full kitchen and a private lanai for morning coffee and evening plate lunches. The primary bedroom has a king bed, and the second bedroom has two twin beds, a practical arrangement for children or friends who prefer their own beds. The kitchen is set up for real cooking, with a refrigerator, stove, oven, microwave and the cookware, dishes and glassware a group needs, and the dining table makes it easy to share a meal at home after a beach day. The living room sofa opens into a bed for two more guests, bringing this home to 6.



Unit B (2BR): Unit B has the same easy two-bedroom, two-bathroom layout, with a living and dining area, a full kitchen and its own lanai. The primary bedroom has a king bed and the second bedroom has a queen bed, so two couples can share the home comfortably. A sleeper sofa in the living room adds space for two more guests, for a total of 6 in this home.



The community: Haleakala Shores is a 76-unit condominium community set in two buildings, with a private swimming pool in the courtyard between them, barbecue and grilling areas for sunset dinners, a shuffleboard court, covered parking and elevators in both buildings. It is a relaxed, residential-feeling property in the middle of the Kamaole beach corridor, the kind of place where the day starts with a walk across the street to the sand and ends with the grill going by the pool. Both condos are inside the Haleakala Shores community, so the whole group shares the same pool, the same grills and the same beach across the road.



Guest Access:

Your reservation includes the private interiors of both condos, each with its own front door and its own entry details, plus the shared Haleakala Shores amenities: the swimming pool, the barbecue and grilling areas with patio seating, the shuffleboard court, the elevators in both buildings and covered parking.



The Neighborhood:

Kamaole Beach Park III is directly across South Kihei Road, close enough to carry a towel and walk. It is one of the trio of Kamaole beach parks that anchor sunny South Maui, with soft sand, lifeguards and calm morning water that is popular for swimming, snorkeling along the rocky edges and stand-up paddling. The Kamaole parks are also a favorite place to watch humpback whales from the shore in winter, and green sea turtles are regular visitors along this coastline. Kamaole Beach Park II and Kamaole Beach Park I are a short walk or drive north.



The neighborhood around Haleakala Shores is one of the most walkable stretches in Kihei. Rainbow Mall is about two blocks away, and several small shopping centers along South Kihei Road hold grocery and convenience stops, surf shops, coffee shops, shave ice stands, local plate-lunch counters and well-regarded seafood restaurants, so a car isn't needed for the daily rhythm of beach, lunch and dinner.



The Kihei Boat Ramp just south of Kamaole III is a launch point for snorkel and whale-watching trips, and Maalaea Harbor, the departure point for most Molokini Crater snorkel cruises, is about 15 minutes north. Wailea's resort beaches, the Wailea Beach Path and The Shops at Wailea are about 10 minutes south, and Keawakapu Beach is a few minutes' drive down the road.



Getting Around:

Kahului Airport (OGG) is Maui's main airport, with direct mainland flights and interisland connections, and the drive to Kihei runs south along the Mokulele Highway and South Kihei Road, roughly half an hour in normal traffic. A rental car is the best way to see the rest of the island, from Haleakala National Park and Upcountry to the Road to Hana and the West Maui coast, and parking at Haleakala Shores is covered. Day to day, much of South Kihei is reachable on foot: the beach is across the street, and shops and restaurants are within a few blocks. Rideshare operates on Maui, though early-morning and late-night airport pickups are easier to arrange in advance.
