Hollinsed House Studio - Great Location!!

Welcome to Harvey's Haven—a beautiful studio in the heart of Old Town Key West! Conveniently located at the Hollinsed House on Southard Street, one block from famous Duval Street, this ground-floor studio suite is equipped to make your stay on the island comfortable and convenient. Harvey's Haven is both removed from and integrated into Old Town Key West. It is tucked away in a quiet neighborhood, but close enough to walk to any bar, restaurant, shop, or gallery. This is a non-smoking unit designed to accommodate two people.

This charming suite is comfortably furnished with a king bed, comfortable couch, dining table, flat-screen TV, and tropical artwork. Transom windows and an open floor plan create a breezy atmosphere in Harvey’s Haven. The full kitchen features a coffee maker, oven, stove, refrigerator, and the accessories to make any chef happy. A spacious bathroom with standing shower and full-length mirror completes this wonderful accommodation.

Lush tropical surroundings characterize the Hollinsed House compound. The architecture of this lovely restored Victorian home is complimented by gardens and a courtyard fountain. Relax and socialize in lounge chairs beside the sparkling heated pool or enjoy outdoor dining nestled beneath the swaying palm trees. Harvey’s Haven is walking distance from fine restaurants, bars, clubs, and the best shopping on the island. Just a short bike ride down Southard Street is Fort Zachary Taylor State Park, where the Gulf of Mexico meets the Atlantic Ocean at one of Key West's best beaches. Swim and snorkel, tour the historic fort, bike along the shaded trails, or just kick back and enjoy the spectacular sunset.

The Hollinsed House, with its wraparound porches and gingerbread trimmings, best represents Key West: a blend of history and modernity, smack in the middle of Old Town.This tropical retreat is truly an "island oasis"!

Parking in Key West is very limited.  This property has no assigned parking and is street parking only. You are responsible for finding parking for your vehicle.

Nice studio but mattress needs to be replaced. It is very soft and kind of lumpy, higher in the middle than on sides of mattress. Uncomfortable! It also was noisy as you can hear the upstairs people walking around and talking at times. Sounded like they were stomping at times and all hours. Pool very small. It was close to shops and restaurants though.

Despite the cold spell in Key West during our stay, the studio is in a great location for getting around the area without a car. The studio had all the basics you could need for a short visit. Wish we had the opportunity to use the pool but it was a tad chilly. We would visit again!!

When we arrived there was MAJOR constructions going on and no one from the management company seemed to know about it. We called and were told that the renters before us didn’t complain. They offered us a 20% discount but I explained that this was a MAJOR double deck project which lasted 9am-6pm each day. We couldn’t use the pool because the courtyard was full of workman and materials. We called again on the second day and the management company finally sent someone out. Apparently this guy went back to the office and told them what a big mess was happing at the property. Then they called and gave us a 50% discount. We’ve stayed at this same property (different unit) before and it’s really nice and in a great location. But I was told by one of the other unit owners that this project would last for several more months (into February). If that is the case, I’d suggest calling to find out about it. We would stay here again, but we will ask about any construction issues next time.

I will definitely be staying here again! A block and a half away from Duval st. Close enough to travel back to the room whenever we wanted and far enough away from the crowd and noise. The pool was well heated which I absolutely loved!!

Key West Getaway

My husband and I were very happy with our decision to stay at Harveys Haven. We were centrally located which made it easy to walk and bike everywhere. Only 2 blocks from lively Duval St., was just enough distance to return to our peaceful little oasis. The private pool was a nice bonus, too. Our only suggestion would be to consider replacing the king mattress. Due to its condition, I had to sleep horizontally in the bed and my husband had to sleep on the sofa. This was disappointing since a comfortable nights rest is very important when away from home.

Loved this place. Great location in Old Town. Quiet at night-no roosters! The place was extremely clean and had plenty of towels. Did have beach towels-this was very appreciated. Kitchen was well stocked with working equipment, but unlike many rentals no staples left like-salt, pepper, seasonings. We thought it was a gem and would definitely stay again.

Great little getaway!

We really enjoyed this quaint little condo! So close to restaurants, shopping, and attractions! The pool was very nice and clean… small, but perfect for a couple of people. Would definitely stay again!

Positives and negatives

We stayed in Harvey's Haven (first floor) while here for a music festival - great location and proximity to Duval St, a 10 min walk to Truman Park and the Pier. For the most part a quiet neighborhood, however it being an older property on the first floor, be prepared to wake up when your upstairs neighbors wake up. The stomping/walking was almost unbearable at 7am after being out until 2am the night before. We'll never do a first floor again. The lack of blinds on the windows (they had something like storm shutters) required us to live for 5 days with the shutters closed for privacy so it was very dark inside and a little bit confining. We experienced cockroaches in the bathroom, which lack of a stopper in the sink may have helped? If you stay here, stuff some paper towels in the sink at night. Otherwise, the apt was comfortable, kitchen well equipped and bed was comfortable. It was nice to be able to make breakfast in the morning. Check in and check out were quick and convenient and they held our luggage for us when necessary. It was .5 mile walk or $10 uber to or from the property managers office to the unit. Overall a nice place, but I would recommend upper floor.

Great little studio for a couple of days!

Our Christmas gift to each other was a long weekend in Key West! Although it rained most of the weekend there's always something to do in Key West! The studio is centrally located just two blocks off Duval. We didn't get to use the pool and outside areas due to the rain, but we were very comfortable inside. Everything was great!

We thought the unit was great. Nothing too fancy. Close to downtown and all restaurants and activities. Comfortable bed. TV that works. Nice neighborhood. No complaints from us. We would rent there again.

Perfect Location - Perfect Property

My husband and I visited Key West for a long weekend to celebrate his birthday. Harvey’s Haven was absolutely ideal and we highly recommend!! Lovely accommodations, 2 blocks from Duval - and it was so hot we were able to always return for some AC and a quick swim in the pool. Quiet and safe. Would definitely return and stay at Harvey’s again!!
