Nice and quiet

Beautiful place lacking essentials like washing detergent, sponges etc a lot of lights didn’t work. Would have been nice if there were fly screens as the flys were terrible. The place was nice but we were disappointed

Family Christmas

My family travelled from Newcastle and South West Rocks to spend three nights with me Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day and we had an absolutely wonderful time. Millet house had everything we needed and that is saying a lot since my sister is a chef. The views were spectacular and sunrises were amazing. The hosts gave us an early check in and an extra nights accommodation. Beautiful property and my son was definitely interested in the wedding venue. Will definitely be back. Thanks for helping my family make some new memories.

A magical weekend and forever memories

I am nearly a year late writing this review but think about our time at the Millet House nearly every day. I enjoyed a magical weekend here with family and friends to celebrate my birthday last October. We also booked one of the other smaller cottages to host additional family members who travelled from interstate. Both properties had all the amenities you could ask for, with charm and character to match. The view and surroundings are absolutely spectacular and hard to put into words. It's one of those places where forever wouldn't have felt long enough. We had perfect weather but enjoyed the fireplace at night. The bedrooms were so comfortable and can easily accommodate a large family. There was a collective promise that this property would be somewhere we'd travel to again to enjoy quality time as a family, and I hope to make that a reality. Lauren

Girls Getaway

Had a great time for a girls weekend away. Nice and close to Kangaroo Valley shops and cafes. Loved the citrus trees in the backyard and the cows wandering past. Thankyou.

Great time, great view

We had such a great stay, it’s a character filled house with a great pool in a great locations with an epic view. We would have loved the house to be a little bit cleaner. We’re not ‘clean freaks’ or anything, but simple cleaning bugs and things from corners would have been great. Fly screens on all the windows would have also been great, especially in the hot weather.

Good place for a group.

We enjoyed our stay at Millet house. The house was on a lovely country property with beautiful views every direction and a quick drive into the little town of Kangaroo Valley. There was lots of room in the house for all our families and the kids loved the pool. Communication with Terrene and John was easy and they always replied quickly. Check in was easy as well.

A wonderful family getaway

Thank you Terrene and John, we had the most fabulous family Christmas getaway. The house was so well equipped there was nothing we could asked for. Such a beautiful property and all the beds and couches were so comfortable. The hosts were so lovely and welcoming and we appreciated the lovely welcome Christmas gift.

Amazing stay

The property is everything I read on the reviews and more. The relaxing feeling of the views in the morning is hard to describe. The house is perfect for family time together but also offers privacy for rest. Very clean and comfortable beds and a well supplied kitchen. The gardens and overall green is very well kept. We will be back.

Family gathering

Our family goes away together regularly, in total 8 adults. This was by far the most beautiful property we have been to. Plenty of room both in and out of the house. We swam in the pool, played soccer, enjoyed visits from the chickens and cows in the adjoining paddock, had meals and played games together at the AMAZING dining table. A fantastic weekend away. John and Terrene were perfect hosts, thank you so much!

Great stay at Millet House

Millet house is set in a picturesque location with beautiful, well looked after grounds and gorgeous views. The house was much bigger than I had expected with plenty of room for our two families and two dogs. We all enjoyed swimming in the pool, walking around the property and collecting eggs from the chickens. The kitchen was well equiped with everything we needed however the downstairs bathroom, whilst clean, could do with an update. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

First week of Jan - Family Holiday

Hi John, we had a great stay on the Melross farm with the family. The views are just amazing and the proximity to Kangaroo Valley and surrounding sights is great. The vibe in the house and the pool are fantastic. The only thing was the 4th room, which was really disappointing. It was very small and stuffy, and no pictures were provided online. We each had our kids stay with us in the rooms, and this room was very tight and uncomfortable. With several pregnant mothers in our group it was also not ideal not to have indoor access to a bathroom. If I were you I would add pictures of the room online and the size and access, if you're going to market this as a 4 bedroom house. Other than that, it was fabulous and we'd love to be back if we require only 3 rooms. Thanks!
