LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION!!! 3bed/3bath
This tropical retreat home in the heart of Kona sits on a half acre lot surrounded by palm trees, lush green lawns and tropical flowers with gorgeous ocean and sunset views. This parcel has unobstructed ocean views and sits in the heart of luxurious Kahakai estates. The resort style backyard with private heated pool creates a relaxing oasis to enjoy any time of the day or the evening and will make you want to stay forever. This single family green home (has solar power), sits on a single level, with amazing lush green lawns and year round flowering tropical plants that accentuate this heavenly abode.


King bed in the master suite along with a dedicated TV and an attached master bath, king bed in the second bedroom (with TV) and queen in the third. In addition we have a queen blow up mattress bed and twin cot for a larger family size that can be setup in the office at the guests own choosing. The living room has a comfortable sofa to lounge or nap on as well. Well stocked with plenty of linens, beach towels and fun stuff like beach chairs, pool toys, ice-chests. There is tons of space in the backyard if you choose to play corn hole or Frisbee. The TV in the living room is perfect for watching a movie or a sporting event at the end of the day. High speed internet to stream your favorite Netflix shows. Kailua village offers many shopping, dining and waterfront entertainment options. Safeway, Walmart, Target, Starbucks and many more amenities are within a 4 mile radius, Costco is approximately 8 miles away and Kona airport is around 11 miles.

The kitchen is well equipped with appliances, gadgets, vitamix, and cookware. There is an outdoor BBQ for you to grill on and enjoy the outdoor lanai. Whether you choose to enjoy a freshly brewed cup of Kona coffee before starting your adventures or prepare a full meal the backyard has relaxing dining furniture with accent lighting.

Many windows in the house bring in cool Hawaiian breezes, and there is air-conditioning for warmer days or humid nights. Fall asleep to the sound of palm trees rustling and wake up to the birds chirping right outside your window.

We have a pack and play, high chair, and multiple supplies to use if needed. Do not hesitate to ask for supplies as we are likely have it for your use!

This is a No Pets, No Smoking Property. Hawaii County has passed an Vacation Rental law that includes a Good Neighbor policy. This law states quiet times are from 9:00 pm to 8:00 am. Please be aware that noise aware decibel warning devices are installed in this home. They do not record any conversation, but they do alert us if the noise levels exceed the residential limits in the area. 3 outdoor cameras are in place for security purposes only when property is vacant. Two cameras covers the pool and BBQ area and the other camera covers the driveway.

2 cars in the driveway. Parking on the shoulder of the street anywhere in the neighborhood is not permitted according to neighborhood covenants.
Rubbish bins need to be placed 3 feet apart at the end of the driveway on Mondays and promptly placed behind the wall after being emptied on Tuesday.
Quiet hours are from 9:00pm until 08:00am. The neighbors are easily disturbed by even a casual outdoor conversation please take it inside at 9:00pm.

We had a very nice 5-night stay at this property. Great value, location and amenities. Not a huge house but plenty of room for six people...didn't feel cramped at all. Highly recommend this property and will definitely stay there again if we decide to vacation on the Big Island!

The house was perfect private and quiet and made for a wonderful Christmas stay. Watching the geckos and sunsets from the privacy of the backyard was the highlight. Retirement Trip

My husband retired this year and we wanted to start out by staying several weeks in one place. We are so glad we chose this property. Everything exceeded our expectations. It was immaculate, well stocked, and a prime location. The sunsets are stellar from the pool area. The pool was a great way to relax after a busy day exploring the island or just a day of floating. Courtney and Justin were great hosts to work with. They were attentive and responsive. Would love to stay here again!

Highly recommended, beautiful house and property

This house is perfect - the beds are large and comfortable, the location is great, the neighborhood is quiet and great for walking, the yard/landscaping was amazing (huge beautiful palms!), and the house was extremely well maintained and stocked with paper products, cleaning supplies, and spices/oils for cooking. The pool is great for cooling off and playing, the sunsets were spectacular, the birds and geckos so much fun to watch. Would definitely recommend staying here - we will be back!

Best property we’ve stayed at!!

I cannot rave about this house more!! It was so well stocked and very baby friendly. We have a one year old and even down to the outlets were baby proofed. They have everything you could imagine in the kitchen which was such a huge plus. The neighborhood was quiet and the views were amazing! The pool was also great!! We stayed here for my husbands Ironman and the accessibility to various parts of the town couldn’t have been easier. We would definitely stay here again on our next trip to the Big Island.

Lovely home - incredible ocean views, perfect pool.

Love this home. All was exactly as pictured, but the ocean view - sunsets and all day long is even better than the photos show. If you walk or run, the easy access to Ali’i Dr is a huge bonus. Host is helpful and responsive - we had a great week. I look forward to booking it again.

Gorgeous Home away from Home

We enjoyed 3 fabulous weeks in this lovely home. The location is conveniently close to all amenities, including a short drive to Kona. The neighbourhood is beautiful, quiet and safe. The house is spacious and fully equipped with everything needed to make your stay completely comfortable. The highlight of the property is the amazing yard which is a beautiful oasis with a wonderfully comfortable pool, gorgeous ocean views and endless sunsets to be enjoyed. 🌸

Great retreat

Very nice home with a great view of the Pacific Ocean. Well stocked in every way. The neighborhood is amazing and is just a few (walkable for sure) miles (around 2 miles) from the shopping areas and Magic Sands beach (go here!) The owner is amazing. I am not sure if they are just sitting and waiting for a message to come across on VRBO--but they answered in less than 2 min every time we had a question. The one negative is that people are leaving a lot of open items-that were sometimes better thrown out :)

We had a lovely family holiday at this property. We were six people, grandparents, parents and two kids ages 7 & 10. The house was spacious, clean, with a huge yard and great pool. The house had two king bedrooms and one queen which was perfect for our group. The kitchen was very well equipped with everything we needed for cooking. Garage had lots of pool toys, beach toys, cooler, etc. We could see the ocean from the yard and watch the sunset each evening. We would most definitely stay here again!

Great location and house

The house is in a quiet gated community in a great location. It is well stocked with anything you need. Has a nice view of the water and sunsets. Pool was warm and a lovely spot to relax by. Owners were responsive and helpful with getting into the home. I would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful Location, Quiet and Secure Neighborhood

This beautiful house and property was perfect for our family. Came with a well-appointed kitchen and a much needed laundry for our three granddaughters. Everyone was most comfortable. We loved the pool, grill and amazing sunsets! Two points for future Vrbo renters: The property has no real walkable access to a sand beach, but is a short drive to some great ones, and most of the beach items left there for our use did not work (broken boogie boards, and umbrella.) Otherwise, five stars.

Most EXCELLENT!!!

We had a 50th Wedding Anniversary celebration with adult children/spouses, grandkids. The property was terrific for all ages. Felt like we were in our own private spot. The fabulous patio and pool was perfect for youngsters who had nap schedules, etc., when a trip to the beach wasn't right for the day. Great location, excellent advance communications with host. (We found out later our daughter had multiple, conspiring conversations with the hosts to solicit their help in arranging a surprise anniversary dinner for us!) Everything was as advertised. Would recommend this host and property for a wonderful place to stay in Kailua.

Amazing Home

This home is everything and more than the pictures posted on line. The pictures do not do it justice. The pool was big enough to swim in or just hang out in. The outside area was fantastic. We could see the ocean when we sat on the pool deck. The kitchen had everything you could want to use, great knives, pans and a lot of dishes. They had plastic cups for outside use. The house was very comfortable to sit and talk and relax in. Although we spent the majority our time outside on the pool deck. This house is about 5-10 minutes from Kona’s Main Street depending on traffic. Very easy to get to from almost anywhere on the island. The owners were very accommodating and easy to work with. Whenever we had a question they responded quickly. I would rent this home again if I get the chance to come back to this island. Mahalo for the amazing stay.

Location + Amenities = A Great Stay

This is a can’t miss rental! Beautiful location, in a gated community. The views from the property of the ocean and the sunsets are fantastic. While it’s a gated community, there’s a walking path out to the road where the restaurants and shops are, which is just over a mile away. It’s an easy walk which we preferred to trying to find parking in the restaurant area. The backyard is a huge tropical paradise with palm trees and tropical plants as well as a very nice pool. The inside is beautiful and spacious. There were 5 of us and it was more than comfortable. It’s also close to the airport, maybe 20-25 minutes. The drive is picturesque. I would definitely stay here again!
