Our family is spending a year traveling the world, and we’re opening our personal home to guests for a limited time. This isn’t a generic rental — it’s a warm, thoughtfully designed island retreat made for real living.

About the Home

Every detail of The Lanai House was chosen with care. The open-concept layout connects indoor and outdoor spaces seamlessly — slide open the doors and enjoy the gentle trade winds as you lounge on the 800-sq-ft covered lanai overlooking your private pool. The design blends natural textures, tropical greenery, and clean modern lines for a calm, inviting space to recharge.

Bedroom 1: King bed with en-suite bathroom

Bedroom 2: Bunk bed (twin over twin) — great for kids or friends

Bedroom 3: Murphy bed that folds up to create a flexible workspace or yoga area

Bathrooms: Two feature spacious walk-in showers, and one includes a shower/tub combo — perfect for families with little ones. Each bathroom is equipped with hair dryers, high-quality linens, and a bidet for added comfort.

The home sits on a quiet street in central Kailua, less than 5 minutes to Kailua Beach and Lanikai Beach, two of the most famous beaches in Hawaiʻi. Walk or bike to Kailua Town for coffee, boutiques, farmers markets, and island-favorite restaurants. Honolulu and Waikīkī are an easy 25–30-minute drive via the scenic H-3 Freeway.

We’re a Hawaiʻi-based family taking a gap year to travel and world-school our son. While we’re away, we’re offering our home to guests who will appreciate its care, comfort, and spirit of aloha. This is our primary residence — please treat it as you would your own.

No parties or large gatherings permitted.

Pool is not heated but stays naturally warm year-round.

Driveway parking available for two cars.
