« We stayed at Aspen Suites the night before our flight home. The hotel is located about a 5 min drive from the airport (or about 10 min walk if you can’t find a cab). Excellent staff, easy check-in. Clean common areas and clean, spacious rooms. The room has a kitchenette and full-sized fridge, a couch with table, and clean, comfortable bed. « The silver bow Inn is a little jewel in Juneau. Although old, it has been updated and made very charming with little touches like custom wallpaper, and every amenity you could want. The only drawback is having to carry your luggage upstairs, but if you can do that this is the hotel to stay at. »

« The downtown location is excellent, the building and my room were decorated with antique furniture of the era, my bed was comfortable, and the linens were good quality. The lower 12" of the room were not so good, with chipped paint, old carpet, and sharp edging on the carpet by the sink. Plumbing worked well. My ensuite bathroom was small, but so were the shared bathrooms. The 2nd floor is reached only by 26 shallow steps, with handrails that don't reach all the way to the top or bottom. Staff...

« Great property. Very new, tasteful and practical. It was spotless. Very nice little amenities to make you feel welcome. Even ear plugs, which we didn’t need. Keurig coffee maker with nice selection of coffees. Highly recommend. We will be back. The bus stop (Juneau Animal Rescue) is three minutes walk away with regular busses for downtown and the airport (3 and 4 for airport and 3,4 and 8 for downtown). Fred Meyer groceries are walking distance. »

Not only a wealth of information, but a great cook who served us daily breakfast along with sharing stories and information about Juneau.
