The pool is the centerpiece of the outdoor gathering space, framed by expansive mountain views, comfortable loungers, and striped umbrellas. Take a swim, stretch out in the sun, or slip into the in-ground hot tub while the desert landscape stretches out around you.



There's plenty here for a group that enjoys a little friendly competition. The sports court is ready for pickleball and basketball, while the disc golf course invites everyone to venture farther across the property. The polo field sculpture garden adds an unexpected artistic touch to the desert surroundings and makes exploring the grounds part of the experience.



For slower afternoons, find a spot in the hammock circle or relax beneath the covered patio. The outdoor dining areas, picnic tables, and propane BBQ make it easy to bring meals outside. As evening approaches, gather around the propane fire pit with a drink and watch the mountains change color.



The entire 40-acre property is fenced and gated, with ample space for supervised dogs to enjoy the outdoors alongside their people.



-Living Area-

The main living room has a relaxed, colorful character, with a golden sofa, comfortable accent chairs, and warm wood details that give the space an inviting feel. Natural light fills the room, and the seating is arranged for spending time together, whether that means catching up after a day outside, watching a movie on the smart TV, or settling in with a book.



The open-plan layout connects the living area to the kitchen, so conversations can continue while meals are being prepared. A music player, books, and games provide easy entertainment for quieter evenings.



The casita has its own living room and smart TV, giving larger groups another comfortable place to gather. It's especially useful when some guests want to stay up together while others prefer a quieter night.



-Game Room-

When the group is ready to bring the competition indoors, the dedicated game room has plenty to keep everyone entertained. Challenge someone to ping pong, start a foosball tournament, or spend some time with the arcade games. A TV and board games round out the space, making it a natural gathering spot for evenings when nobody feels like heading into town.



-Kitchen and Dining-

Cooking together is easy at Sunflower, with two fully equipped kitchens that give groups flexibility throughout their stay. The main kitchen is bright and practical, with white cabinetry, generous counter space, a gas stove, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, and blender. The wide breakfast bar seats four and is a convenient spot for morning coffee or conversation while dinner comes together.



Both kitchens are stocked with cookware, dishes, glassware, baking sheets, and serving essentials. Coffee drinkers have their choice of drip coffee makers, Keurig machines, and French presses, with a starter supply of coffee pods provided.



The main house and casita each have dining space, making it easy to share meals or keep different schedules. For afternoons that turn into long evenings, take dinner outside to the patio or picnic tables and make use of the propane BBQ.



-Bedrooms and Bathrooms-

Sunflower has five bedrooms and four full bathrooms across two separate buildings, accommodating groups of up to 14 guests. The main house has three bedrooms and three bathrooms, while the detached casita adds two bedrooms and one bathroom.



In the main house, the primary suite features a king bed, an ensuite bathroom, a smart TV, and direct patio access. It's a comfortable retreat with the convenience of stepping outside to enjoy the desert air.



The second and third bedrooms each have a queen bed and share a full bathroom. Another full bathroom is located near the laundry area, providing additional convenience for guests staying in the main house.



A short walk from the main house, the casita offers two more bedrooms, one with a king bed and the other with a queen. These bedrooms share a full bathroom, and the casita has its own living room, kitchen, dining area, and separate exterior entrance.



The casita is opened for reservations of more than four guests. Its independent layout is particularly well suited to extended families, multiple couples, or groups of friends who want to vacation together while maintaining a little personal space.



Guest Access:

The entire house and property are yours to enjoy! Please note that a few supply closets stay locked to store rental supplies.



Guests have private access to the main house, pool, in-ground hot tub, sports court, game room and grounds. The casita is opened for groups larger than four to help keep cleaning costs lower for smaller reservations.



The Neighborhood:

Sunflower is set on 40 private, fenced acres near Joshua Tree village, secluded without being remote. Please respect the surrounding private properties and do not enter neighboring yards while walking in the area. The last 0.3 miles to the home are dirt roads. Sunflower is about a mile from Joshua Tree village and about 3 miles from Joshua Tree National Park.

A personal vehicle is necessary to get around in this area - rideshare apps are not guaranteed.



Please note that Sunflower is in a remote location, and the final stretch to the home is on dirt roads, so please take it slow. The dirt roads are maintained, and a four-wheel drive car is not necessary, but please note that the dirt road conditions vary and may have bumps and ruts, particularly after rainstorms.
