We do not allow guests to throw parties or events at our property.
Please be kindly noticed that all extra guests should be approved by host before arrival and they will need to leave the property by 9pm per County’s STR Reinforcement Code. Any unapproved visitors will be charge $200 per person according to the House Rules in the listing. Please feel free to contact us if any questions.

There is a carport parking space for 1 vehicle , as well as driveway in front of the house for additional vehicles.
—Oven
Please make sure to turn on the vent while using the oven, otherwise the carbon alarm will ring.
—Smart TV
We have a smart TV in the house, please connect it with your account.
—Air Conditioning
We provide central air conditioning in the house which has smart control and easy to operate.
—Jacuzzi( no extra fees)
Please shower before use. Please don’t put any liquid/solid soap into it, any extra cost occurring will be charged. The guests will take all liability and responsibility for your own safety.
You will have access to turn on jacuzzi from the property. There will be a remote in the living room space. Please see the guidebook for further instructions on how to properly use it
—Pool heating—
The maximum pool heating request is for 5 days because propone tank is limited and scheduled to refill every week . Please also note that pool heating and spa heating can not happen simultaneously.
The pool can be heated, please notice us ONE DAY before your arrival if you’d like to heat it up, the pool temperature will be heated up to 85 degrees. The pool heating fee is $180/day from May to September , $250/day from October to April. The pool heating fees will be add on top of night fees not including Airbnb service fees and taxes . ( no extra fees for the jacuzzi )
Anyone under 18 needs his/her parent’s present while swimming or near the pool for safety reasons. No diving and no glass near the pool. The guests will take full liability and responsibility for your own and your guests safety.
Please note that the pool service is between 8am - 2pm every Monday and Thursday
—Pets
We love pets. Your fur-friends are welcome with an additional fee of $60/ pet per stay. (max 2 pets allowed). You are required to disclosed before booking. We simply ask that you clean up after your pet during your stay.
However, they are not allowed to swim in the pool. Please be mindful, as their fur can cause the pool filters to build-up.
-Please be aware of desert plants and keep your pets away from them, we strongly suggest you to use leash and accompany your pets while running in the yard, because the cactus might hurt. You are 100% responsible for yourself and your pets.
—Broken Items
We understand that accidents happen, if anything breaks down - even if it's your fault - let us know so we can send someone to fix it or replace it for you and future guests (contact information attached above in the emergency contact section).
—Plumbing
All houses in Joshua Tree are on a Septic Tank system. For this reason nothing can be flushed down the toilet except toilet paper. Following these guidelines will avoid problems with the plumbing. If it is determined that the pipes have been clogged due to misuse, a $200 repair fee will be charged. Thank you for your cooperation.
—Please let us know if there are any serious stains on the furniture or floors, or if here is damage to anything and we will try our best to fix it ASAP.
—Security Camera
According to the requirements from Insurance Company, there are security cameras facing the house entrance and back entrance.
—Film/Video and Photos
Our property is a beautiful place to shoot photos and videos, we welcome you to tag us on IG @visithideaway. Any shoots with any commercial purposes are priced at a different rate and must be cleared with us in advance of your stay. If you are in doubt, inquire first. We will charge $5000 per violation, plus production fee up to $575/hour.
—No-Smoking
Smoking (including E-Cig) is not allowed in the property or within 15 feet exterior door. Please dispose cigarettes into a plastic bag and put it in the outdoor trash can. If above is not maintained, we will charge $100 special cleaning fee. Please smoke outside and dispose of your cigarettes in the trash.
—Checking Out
Please check out of our Airbnb rental by 11:00AM. By checking out by this time ensures that we have enough time to clean the property and get it ready for our next guest. For any late check out, we will reserve the right to charge $200 if exceed 20 minutes and half day rate if exceed one hour.

Other things to note
WILDLIFE:
The desert is wild and if you are very sensitive to insects, mice & bugs - it may not be for you. If you leave a door open, animals ,flys , bugs and more might run in. There are indeed rare sightings of snakes, ants & spiders out here. We love it and so do most of our guests, but just a friendly reminder that we are indeed in the wild. And we are always more than happy to have a creature safely relocated if you find it to be a threat.

The Neighborhood:
Black Sky House-Pool&Spa is situated in one of the most desirable neighborhoods "on the mesa" in Joshua Tree.
This perfect central location is only 10 minutes to the picturesque Joshua Tree National Park where you can rock climbing, go hiking, horse-riding, join in on a ranger talk, go biking, stargazing or just pack your camera and capture the unique landscape and wildlife that the park has to offer.
Head to the Yucca Valley Town with many small, unique shops filled with antiques and gift items, visit one-of-a-kind restaurants and drop into local the cafe to get your latte or espresso with a homemade sandwich or croissant.
Getting Around:
You will need a car, but rideshares and taxis are also readily available.

Well equipped house with lots to do!
We had a lot of fun staying at this property, making full use of the pickle ball court, outdoor dining area, pool, and bocce ball court. It's beautiful and modern as well, and the architecture goes well with Joshua Tree. Love that every room has a king bed, lots of seating around the TV where we could play video games, indoor and outdoor areas well suited for board games, the large windows all have curtains, and the lighting indoors and out was well done.There were a few minor things were you could tell the property was built to be a short-term rental property and either felt cheap or needed maintenance, but they didn't impact our stay in a material way. For example, the spa controls didn't work for us, but the property manager was able to do it remotely and was so responsive (even at 1am lol) that we were still able to use the pool and spa as desired. Even with the minor issues, our group of 6 guys in their 30s all agreed that this was one of the better rental properties we've stayed in, and would stay here again.

This was an amazing home in an amazing location. The stay included a manual to operate just about everything in the house, and any questions we had along the way were answered very quickly. The house felt luxurious with comfortable seating throughout the house and outdoor spaces. I would 100% book this stay again for a large group.
