Enjoy your coffee while observing our neighbors which include herons, egrets, ducks, deer and even dolphin. John's Island is the up and coming suburb of Charleston where you are just minutes away from many fine dining restaurants, breweries, distilleries, spas, shopping , beaches, golf and even a winery. Here you will enjoy our island bohemian lifestyle. We are just minutes away from Kiawah Island beach and golf resort and only 13 minutes from downtown Charleston.
You will be our guest as you enjoy all the amenities of a 4 star resort. With a king size bed (and a sofa bed for your convenience) your suite includes a private entrance, dual vanities, garden spa tub, huge walk-in shower with 2 shower heads, outdoor shower, bicycles, refrigerator, microwave, hairdryer, iron, wireless internet, fire TV, and a stunning view of the water from your suite as well as a small deck and access to our dock outside for you to enjoy. 30 Day rental minimum.

Sea Island Retreat

A beautiful place with very thoughtful owners. Good location to beaches, Charleston or just to relax. The owners go well above most with a welcome sign, snack basket and a bottle of wine. Highly recommend.

Absolutely Perfect!

If we could give this property more than 5 stars, we would! The guest suite is spectacular, decorated wonderfully, and a quiet retreat after exploring Charleston for the day or days. The property offers relaxation and quiet, and the small touches added to the experience. Eric and Julie were great to work with, and we will definitely go back again when in the area. If you stay at Sea Island Retreat, you won’t regret it!

Relaxation

Amazing retreat that enabled relaxation and unwinding from our busy lives. Eric and Julie have shared their wonderful home and tranquillity along the River. Awesome sunrise views start the day. They have spared no details to make guests feel comfortable in their upgraded immaculate suite. The 600 foot dock allows you to enjoy nature to its fullest. Everything is top notch and highly recommended.

Anniversary Trip

We could not ask for a better place to stay for our anniversary trip. Eric and Julie were great to communicate with and the suite was welcoming. We enjoyed the beautiful views and the quietness of the neighborhood. Charleston is a great place to visit but we enjoyed being able to relax on vacation. The suite was clean and the bed was comfortable. The snacks, bottle water and coffee was an added bonus. We look forward to returning in the near future.

The owners were extremely conscientious and caring, and obviously have put much consideration into preparing their studio suite for guests such as we are. It was a fantastic, clean, quiet, beautiful, restful, and healing place. For us in particular, our visit was a 3 day “stop over” for 2 road-weary travelers on the way to Kiawah for a week with extended family.

Beyond spectacular

My husband and I chose to stay at this property while in town for the PGA Championship in Kiawah. Although we were a little off the beaten path from the tournament location, the suite and property were just too good to pass up! And we were more than thrilled upon arrival. We don't book a lot of private properties and usually stay at resorts or boutique properties as I'm always a little nervous to trust the listing. I can promise you, this suite and location will not disappoint. I am a corporate event planner and have been part of the hospitality industry for over 20 years and these hosts didn't miss a touch. If I had to guess, they have either been in the industry themselves or just truly have that touch of southern hospitality you hear about. Communication upon booking and prior to arrival were timely and pleasant. Accommodating an hour early check-in was met with ease. The suite itself was stunning and situated on a little slice of heaven by the river. Special touches spanned from a welcome bottle of wine to a fridge with waters to a gift basket of snacks to numerous charging stations which even accommodated the newer USB-C cord. And if you enjoy a beautiful sunrise over the water while sipping your coffee, do yourself a favor and book this property while your visiting the Charleston area! For a VRBO rental, I would never have expected the special touches above the basic accommodations. If we return to the area or have friends or family doing so, I would highly recommend booking this property. Cheers!

Amazing

This place is wonderful! The owners pay attention to all the details! Views are amazing to wake up to! Everything was perfect. Hosts were extremely nice and made sure our stay was perfect! Couldn’t have picked a better place to stay! Can’t wait to go back and visit.
