« I spent just one evening at the Black Eagle Spa and Hotel, and I honestly couldn’t fault it in any way. The room was absolutely superb and impeccably clean. The bar facilities were outstanding, and the restaurant and the Library Room was exceptional. Every member of staff contributed effortlessly to making the stay truly memorable, with no issues whatsoever. I absolutely love this place. »

« This is a unique property built on natural rock surrounded by trees and birdlife in midst of suburb in Johannesburg.Artistic and comfortable and full of detail.The staff are amazing especially Radsen who cooks a delightful breakfast .Truly delightful stay. »

« Stayed one night near the airport to flight back home the next day. Didn’t get to see the surroundings so I have no opinion. Clean room, good and convenient meals on site. Good service. Nice garden a pool. »

« Well run facility. We stayed as a 2+2 family in the room with a double bedroom and bunk-bed in the lounge-kitchen-diner area. It was good to have this extra space and flexibility. Games room was a hit with the kids. Local restaurants/cafes are fine. Eastgate Mall is 1 mile away and safely walkable in daytime. Manager offers transfers in his car. Definitely recommend. (We went to SCI-BONO on one day which is the best science museum we've ever been to and great value.) »

« We stayed over as we were attending a wedding nearby. I only wish we were staying longer as the place was so beautiful. The rooms are absolutely stunning, well-appointed, beautifully decorated with attention to detail and lovely little extra touches. The staff are incredibly friendly and went out of their way to make things run smoothly even though they were experiencing load shedding in the area. »

« We were blown away by the accommodation. The first thing you encounter on arrival is a massive indoor pool of Koi (I guess that’s in the name!) The luxury and beautiful atmosphere continues as you explore the property. We would have gone swimming but the weather was a bit nippy, the breakfast was lovely with different menu each day - oh and the muffins… Le-Anne was so welcoming and made us feel at home during our stay. Rooms were clean and comfy beds made for a welcome rest. »

« It was an excellent place to stay. The bed was warm and comfortable. All the amenities included an A/C, heater, safe, etc. Incredible South African hospitality. Great breakfast in the morning with incredible tasting Omelette made to your preference. The property is nice, with a beautiful garden. Did I mention the great hospitality? They are the best host of people. Cudos to the Owner, Chris, and the manager, Allison. My stay at Highgrove made the trip to South Africa more enjoyable. »
