The property was perfect for us because it was so close to our sonâs home. Additionally, it is walking distance from Liberty State Park and Ellis Island. Although it was winter, the walk was lovely and I could imagine how pretty it must be in the spring and summer. The cute, quirky house was clean, entry was easy, and the environment was super quiet, despite the occasional train, which I didnât even notice until Day 3. Entry is up a fairly steep stairway so my husband and I (seniors) shared in the luggage transport. Although some of the floors had a slant to them, we didnât find this a problem. There is storage space in the bathroom as the mirror hides a cabinet and the shelves with the towels can be used for storage, too. The bathroom is tiny, but as small people, we had no trouble. Even in winter, we had to turn off most of the heaters as the home stays comfortable (cool-ish) without heat and can be made as warm as you like. Furniture-wise, the beds were embracing in the dark, quiet rooms. Only one bedroom has a dresser and closet. The other has a desk. There is plenty of floor space for the cot. There are no coffee tables or end tables in the living room, but I assume that is so the couch can be folded out (although I did not check that). My husband made coffee in the kitchen, but otherwise, we didnât use it, so canât comment on that room other than to say the table is a high top and the chairs are accordingly tall. Communication was excellent.
