All you need and more!

We had a wonderful stay at Quiet Escape! The house is well appointed with everything you need for a relaxing getaway. It fit our family of 6 perfectly with comfortable beds for everyone. One of the best features was the back yard patio which was right off the kitchen. Sitting out there with our morning coffee was a highlight. The hosts always responded immediately to our questions and went above and beyond in there hospitality. Raystown Lake was easily accessible from the house and the surrounding area is absolutely beautiful. We highly recommend this property for your next family vacation. 5 stars all the way around.

Lovely house for a girls' get together!

The house was beautiful, such a perfect mix of an old farmhouse with modern upgrades. It was nicely stocked with everything you may need except for a washer and dryer. The fire ring and hot tub were a nice touch! I would definitely recommend!

Family reunion weekend

Overall rating very good. Enjoyed the fire pit and hot tub. House very clean. Mattresses on the soft side for the adults. Road traffic very loud until 11-12pm. Would rent again.

Great house near Raystown Lake

We had a great stay and lots of room. The house had lots of extras such as towels, cooking items, and games. We enjoyed the camp fire and hot tub. Short driving distance to Raystown Lake Resort and camp store. We will stay again.

Beautiful farmhouse

Everything was fantastic! House is well stocked with everything you would need .The interior is updated with a modern farmhouse feel . Hot tub was great for soaking in after a day on the lake which was close by . Definitely coming back!

Beautiful property - highly recommend!!

This was an absolutely lovely property that was perfect for a family long weekend gathering. Place was exactly as advertised- indoor finishes were top notch, comfortable beds, and an outdoor area with several seating spaces. Hot tub was clean and ready to use. Location was perfect, only a few minutes from Lake Raystown resort. Only comments were that the bedrooms facing the road could have had blinds installed as there were no curtains, but just sheers. Also, the outside couches had dog hair all over them- it was only a problem for one of our party with dog allergies, and there were plenty of other places to sit! We are definitely considering renting this place again- and would wholeheartedly recommend to anyone !!!

Graduation weekend

We had a bunch of family here for my son's graduation. We booked because it was far cheaper than multiple hotel rooms. That being said, it ended up a WAY better option! The house is perfect. It's the best outfitted house I've ever rented. They thought of things we didn't even know we might need. All told, I cannot recommend the rental enough. It is a perfect getaway spot!

Escape and recharge

Everything about the house is lovely. It is clean, beds are comfy, kitchen is well appointed for cooking, the hot tub was perfect. There is a fire pit stocked with firewood, roasting sticks, games, puzzles. Coming from an overcrowded area, this was a beautiful escape to a beautiful home. I didn't want to leave - it was the best pause button ever. We did a very short hike (0.4 mi round trip) at Balanced Rock nearby which has a suspension bridge, waterfall and gravity defying balanced rock so lots of nature payoff for minimal work. Thanks to the owner's for sharing their oasis!

Relaxing winter weekend getaway in charming country farmhouse

Our family had a wonderful long Valentines/Presidents Day weekend at this fabulously remodeled farmhouse. The home is gorgeous inside and out with great hardscaping in the the backyard connecting the hot tub and fire pit, both of which we used heavily. The owner had an ample stock of split hardwood by the fire pit as well as an outdoor fire oven which we also used to make wood fired pizza. Our kids (17, 15 and 11) spent half the weekend in the hot tub but also did some sledding in the snow covered yard. We did a hike to Hawks overlook and also toured Lincoln Caverns and Whisper Rock. The driveway and hardscaping were cleared of snow before our arrival and fresh roses were in the kitchen for Valentines Day. The owner was very easy to communicate with and super helpful. This was just the relaxing getaway we were looking for. We would definitely consider renting this again and highly recommend it for families or groups of friends looking for a cool place to hang out together and relax!!!

Gobsmacked

If you are reading this review, you are looking for reassurances. This place is amazing. No kidding. We were gobsmacked. It's an extremely well thought out farmhouse style restoration. You'll find that it's a beautiful place, with many high end touch surfaces, linens, and kitchen appliances.... Just enough original pieces to tastefully showcase the homes history, along with important items updated everywhere else. It's nicely situated in a quiet setting close to Raystown Lake. You will feel safe here... all the doors lock, all the entrances are well lit, including an area light in the driveway. There's ample outdoor seating in an upscale setting, that includes a firepit & well maintained hot tub. Look at the pictures... they are a true representation of what you'll find. Communication couldn't have been better. We truly felt the care and concern from the owner, through the entire process. If your still reading this, and the dates you want are still open... stop right now... book it before it gets away. If it's the money....well... you can always find "something" cheaper... but, remember this... for a few dollars more... you can be gobsmacked!

Amazing Property

We came with a small group of friends to get away for a long weekend. This was one of the best properties we have stayed at as it had everything we needed to be able to cook all of our meals. The firepit was awesome and stocked with wood which was awesome. We also made great use of the hottub. The owners were awesome and super responsive to all our questions (as we were coming off of a bad prior rental experience, so had lots of questions). I would definitely recommend this rental to others and am sure we'll be back to stay again at some point!

Raystown Getaway

Our family spent 3 beautiful days at this charming home. Check in was easy and the house was exactly as described. A modern farmhouse feel with a fantastic kitchen. Our kids loved the yard and hot tub. We also enjoyed a fire in the fire pit in the nicely hardscaped backyard. Good proximity to Raystown lake recreation and mountain biking. We would definitely stay here again.

Country Home

My family really enjoyed spending time a this house. The location was great, the house was really cute, and the outdoor space was really nicely done. The hot tub was amazing--as was the fire pit. If I had one criticism, it was that the front bedroom really needs some curtains. But the kitchen and hot tub were clear winners with my family. The owner was very easy to communicate with.

Very nice house with a great outdoor patio!

Very nice house that has been recently remodeled. It has a fully equipped kitchen. Outdoor patio is very nice and quiet. Hottub was a nice added bonus. We hope to be able to stay here again on our next trip to Raystown.

The house was amazing ! Very clean and comfortable and very accommodating. The decor was beautiful and the kitchen was amazing , it had everything we needed . The outdoor patio, fire pit and hot tub was a big hit with my group . I would definitely rent this again .

Beautifully Decorated, Clean, and Awesome Outdoor Space

The property owner sent me a text with all of the check-in information, answered any questions I had, and just was great in general. The property was clean and georgous. We loved the big outdoor space and hot tub. Beautiful property that we will consider renting again. :)

Beautifully restored house with all the comforts you could want!

This place was just what we were looking for, and provided a beautiful quiet place to spend time with family! The house and grounds are beautifully cared for and the large patio offered lots of space. It is surrounded by woods, providing lots of privacy. The home is beautifully decorated and has all the comforts you could want. It is just a short drive to the lake and boat launches, and some excellent hiking trails.

Awesome place for our 7 girl getaway! Beautiful interior! We lived on the perfect patio.

Would definitely rent this again! Large spacious well suited for 7 women that all need to be in the kitchen at the same time!!! We found everything we needed for this trip!
