Sitting room/library. This room is situated at the front of the house with windows to the east and west. The room has comfortable seating for relaxing and reading and a wall-mounted smart television.
Utility room. There is a small utility room by the back door with a sink and a washing machine, iron, ironing board and clothes airer.
The house is 7 miles from Stornoway which is the main town on the island where you will find two supermarkets and many small, local shops. There is a sports centre, banks, chemist/pharmacy, butchers and fishmonger. The island is serviced by the Calmac ferry service providing two daily passages to the mainland and Loganair provide flights to and from Glasgow, Inverness and Edinburgh as well as flights to Benbecula to the south. There is also a Calmac ferry service to Tarbert in Harris and sailings to North Uist departing from Leverburgh in Harris.
The island is host to many tourist attractions, including stunning beaches and rugged landscapes as well as the world-famous Callanish standing stone and the Broch. The island is also the best access point to travel to St Kilda and regular cruises are available but need to be booked in advance as they are in great demand.
