« The converted jail was such an interesting and unique place to stay. The property is beautiful, the house and room were clean and inviting, and the cell block was a great place to hang out and explore. We loved morning coffee on the balcony and the fabulous whirlpool tub for relaxing. Make sure to check out the incredible food at the local Algerian restaurant, and a lovely river walk, or explore the four story antique mall in town! »

« First time using Vrbo and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience! The space was a cute little spot right off the main road, making it super easy to get to everything. The house was clean, well-lit, and had such a cozy feel - especially the super comfy bed. The host was incredibly easy to communicate with and very quick to respond, which made everything smooth and stress-free. Would definitely stay again! »

« This sweet little getaway spot was everything I needed for a 2-day conference nearby. It sports rustic charm and peace and quiet. The kitchen had everything I needed for my first night’s meal (subsequent meals were had away from property). The host offered a variety of snacks, drinks, or even frozen burritos or pizza for purchase by Venmo. The bathroom was clean and the shower had a built in seat. There were also lovely items available in both the shower and bathroom caddy. I didn’t use the...

« Great easy spot with good space for a family. A bit farther from the main downtown but easily walkable. »

« Very clean place, you might want to look at the ceiling fans. »

« We had a great experience! We especially appreciated the washer and dryer. Many places we’ve stayed have only enough supplies for the time you’re there (I.e two garbage bags, two dish pods, etc.) but there were plenty of supplies to get us through. The only thing I wish I knew going in was that the kitchen didn’t have things like a sheet pan or measuring cup which required us to get creative with some of our cooking. Other than that, I cannot say enough good things about our stay! »

« Perfect house for a quick trip to dubuque. Responsive host...clean home..minutes away from anything you want to see or do. Jacuzzi tub was a bonus! Thank you again for a peaceful anniversary getaway! »

« Property was clean and inviting and fit our needs perfectly. We enjoyed our stay, thanks! »

« We had a great vacation! It was a short stay for us. Our kids would have loved to stay longer. We enjoyed the views of the lake and having a private beach area. »

« Probably not everyone's cup of tea. Kind of dated inside and a little bare bones. Not very many amenities in the kitchen. Only 1 pod provided for the Keurig ( good thing only one of us drinks coffee!) and 1 roll of TP which barely lasted for the one night we stayed there. Of course there is a grocery store right across the street, but still... The bed was comfy and the shower was very good. Location was right on a fairly busy corner and we were apprehensive of noise but turned out OK. Everything...

« Amazing property! Very accommodating! Perfect space for what we needed. Hot tub was great! Had a fire in the fire pit. »

« Host was amazing »

« Cozy spot to stay for a couple nights. House was very clean and comfortable. Yummy coffee provided! Host was proactive and gave clear instructions and easy check out process. »

« What a lovely home! We rented this for a relatives wedding! It was perfect for a one night stay! Clean and comfortable. It is in a great quiet neighborhood. There was some construction, but the owner couldn’t help that. It took a tiny second to reroute and go a different route around the back because gps kept telling me to go the way where the roads were blocked off. Comfortable bed and pull out sofa for the kids! We even left something and the owner met us to get it from them! Such a...

« Host kept in touch and very responsive. »

« Very nice, cool, clean with a good location. A little awkward getting in the house due to parking and the steps in would not be good for elderly or handicapped. Very sparse on kitchen equipment-bare minimum. But all in all the beds were nice and shower great. »
