We have had nothing but positive experiences with VRBO, but this was our best yet. Two factors in particular stood out. The location simply could not be better - nice neighborhood, a three-minute walk to either Aldiâs or a terrific neighborhood pub (The Waterfront). All that âdowntownâ Inverness was within an easy 10-15 minute, extremely pleasant walk.
Second, the host, Gregor Davidson, was incredibly accommodating and helpful before and during our stay, from having the house ready and open early for us, taking us on a tour of Culloden battlefield and nearby Clara Cairn, to giving us a ride to the airport on our departure. Amazing.
Rose Cottage itself was just as advertised, cozy but completely comfortable and homey, with a lovely little garden we enjoyed on sunny days towards the end of our stay. Admittedly, the one and a âhalfâ bath arrangement, both upstairs, were a tad less than ideal for two couples like us, but certainly manageable and really pretty insignificant to our enjoyment of the place.
In short, we cannot recommend either Gregor or his property more highly - far exceeded our high expectations. Thanks again, Gregor.
