« Endroit vraiment magnifique de calme et d’une ambiance intemporelle située sur le rivage de Holy Loch. Tout est parfait, propre, joli, typique, spacieux et fonctionnel. L’animation quotidienne est l’amarrage du bateau Ferry sans bruit au bout de la propriété . La météo beaucoup moins ingrate que dans les montagnes plus au nord. Bon point de départ pour des excursions avec une voiture. Situation à 10km de Dunoon. Magnifique, à recommander ! »

« We all had a fantastic time at Thornbank. We were a large family party and the flat was big enough for all of us and suited us to a T. The flat was very clean, had super comfy beds and kitchen large enough for all of us. A lovely balcony off the kitchen was a delight to just sit and appreciated the garden. « Beautiful cottage both inside and in its location. Outside of the town centre, it was still close enough to walk to the local Co-op for supplies and into the town for access to the River Leven & Loch Lomond and the train station. I loved sitting outside next to the burn with a cup of tea in a morning, listening to the soothing sounds of the water and birdsong. Fiona, the host, was wonderfully welcoming and it was an idyllic home for our few days in Balloch. »

Alan and Ann were wonderful hosts providing lots of local information. The cottage is in a great location with lots of places to visit within a short drive. « We booked this primarily based on the pictures especially of the outdoor areas. However these appear to have now been neglected. You would not want to spend time in the summerhouse. The bbq would need cleaning before use. Some of the birdfeeders had mouldy deposits. The chairs , tables and benches appear to just been left out for the elements to take their toll. The welcome pack needs updating especilly in regards to the heating/hot water Yes we needed it in June. Only 1 of the logs provided...
