« We had a last minute change of plans and I needed to find suitable accommodation for my family of 4. I came across the 'Garden House' in my initial search and compared 5 other similar solutions. None measured up and that was only based on the images. The pictures undersold the property, utterly. The Garden House became a serendipitous highlight of our trip to Edinburgh. The location, setting, layout, preparation, standards, provisions were are excellent. The setting within Oxenford Castle...

« Le logement est un peu atypique ce qui fait son charme. Il est propre et fonctionnel. La communication avec les propriétaires était aisée. Un abri de bus pour aller à Édimbourg est à 10 min à pied. Nous recommandons vivement. »

« An excellent property to rent outside of Edinburgh. Perfect for dogs and families. The cottage was warm and well lit when we arrived and the fireplace was already prepped with a basket full of logs. The manager of the property was very friendly and she came over to introduce herself and check we had everything we needed. Strongly recommend and will be going back. »

« Good for family (2 adults, 4 kids). Good location, 30 minute walk or 10-15 minute bus ride to the city centre. Clean apartment, some initial struggle with the front door key ‘technique’ but the video was helpful, could’ve done with a few more kitchen utensils / oven trays for self catering. Overall good, would stay again. »

« L’appartement de King Stables était malheureusement indisponible en raison d’une fuite d’eau importante. Sonia nous a alors proposé un autre logement plus spacieux, mais un peu plus décentré, sur Stockbridge. Elle s’est régulièrement assurée que tout allait bien. Elle fut vraiment charmante et efficace! Nous avons adoré notre logement et le quartier de Stockbridge. »

« Ideal location with charming village area nearby. Easy walk to local pub and to the water. Flat was spacious and well equipped; but could have used a bit more maintenance and some air freshener (near the sea, so a bit of a damp, musty smell). It was a bit farther from central Edinburg (~40 min) than I had expected; but the quaint village feel of the area was well worth the few extra minutes drive. All in all a nice place to support local sight seeing and day trips. »

« Très belle propriété avec des hôtes disponibles, de bons conseils et arrangeants (notamment pour le partage du jardin principal pour notre chienne). Le logement a du caractère, est fonctionnel et cosy. Très bien situé pour une visite du sud et du centre de l'Ecosse (beaucoup de randonnées dans les environs). Un nouveau barbecue serait un plus. Nous avons en plus eu beaucoup de chance avec la météo qui nous a permis de bien profiter de notre séjour. »

« Très belle maison spacieuse, propre, avec une literie confortable et une cuisine bien équipée. Les vaches dans le champs d’à côté ont bien occupé nos enfants. Belle vue des chambres. Pratique pour visiter Édimbourg, Glasgow et le château de Stirling. Propriétaire très sympathique. »

« We really enjoyed our stay at Chesnut Cottage ! Very cosy, warm, welcoming little house ! Thank you for welcoming us and our dog ! The Arniston Estate is lovely, very calm. A nice place for walks. Very dark at night, we had the chance to see plenty of stars when the sky was clear enough. The fireplace with everything needed and the bathtube were the cherry on top ! Easy to access from Edinburgh airport. The train station of Gorebridge is also a big plus. 25min by train and you're in the town...
