« The week we spent at Voortrekkers Lodge, Levenwick, was an absolutely marvellous experience. The spectacular view from the lodge, the hospitality and friendliness of the hosts and the cosy, clean accomodation all contributed to a wonderful holiday away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. We adored the goats and the almost-goat-sheep at our front door! Thank you, Niki and Piet, we are surely planning to come back some day. Maybe I will even try the smoked, freshly caught fish then... »

« The apartment was quite spacious for the 4 of us, with a lot of natural lighting during the day. Nicely decorated, clean and quiet. Great central location, with an easy walk to restaurants, shops and museums. »

« While the facilities provided in the apartment were as stated, the dark location at the rear of the building was disappointing with virtually no outlook. The constant humming from the electronics was particularly annoying to hearing aids. We never used the cooking facilities, so cannot comment. For a 1 week stay this is not a great facility and in our opinion is overpriced. »

« We were absolutely delighted with the cleanliness and modern decor of the apartment, and it’s location in central Lerwick was perfect. We could park for free on the street outside the apartment and the shops and restaurants were a five-minute walk. The apartment had all the facilities we needed, including a washer-dryer so we could wash clothes during the week. The only challenge we had was due to our levels of fitness - there are a few flights of stairs (and 35 steps) up to the St. Ninian’s...

The scenery is fantastic, with a sweeping view of the sea across a beautiful pasture. The apartment was clean and well appointed with a fabulous farm style kitchen.
