Be aware there are two ferries from Ishigaki, and only one has a shuttle to the hotel. If you’re going to rent a car book it early, but the island is very doable without a car as long as you go with the flow. The hotel is close to the river ferry which takes you to waterfall hike. « Great hotel, extremely good service, great breakfast (has multiple vegan options) and 15 min away by foot from a vegan South Indian restaurant. The staff was so kind, the cook gave us a jam recipe and the reception staff translated the recipe from Japanese to English for us. Extremely well served as well : there is a laundry room and got snorkelling tours directly on the beach. A place of reference when we come back to Ishigaki. »
