Melwel Lakehouse | Quai Clear Lake + Jacuzzi

Welcome to Melwel Lakehouse, a renovated 1964 bungalow on the shore of Clear Lake. Set on a private 1.06 acres with 362 feet of frontage, it is made for families and small groups who want to slow down by the water. The house has three bedrooms and two bathrooms, and it sleeps 6 comfortably, with a sofa bed for up to 8. Spend your days swimming off the sandy shore, on the private dock or out in the canoe, and your evenings around the fire pit, in the sauna or in the hot tub under the stars.

Accommodations
Three bedrooms and two bathrooms, one of them an ensuite. The master bedroom has a king bed. The two other bedrooms each have a queen bed. A pull out sofa bed in the living room sleeps two more, for up to 8 guests.

Kitchen
A full kitchen with all the standard appliances: fridge, stove and oven, microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker, kettle and toaster, plus cookware and dishes for home cooked meals.

Living Area
1,151 square feet of renovated living space, warm in every season with ductless split heating and air conditioning, propane heat and a propane fireplace. Three TVs, plus a washer and dryer.

On the Lake
362 feet of private frontage on Clear Lake. The shoreline is rock and sand, with a sandy section for swimming. Enjoy the private dock (water off the dock is roughly 10 ft deep, varying), a canoe for guest use and an in-lake playset with a trampoline. There is boat parking space at the dock (no formal slip). Stairs lead down to the water; there are no stairs inside the house. Boats, jet skis and other gear can be arranged for an extra charge.

Outdoor Living
A 400 square foot deck with outdoor furniture and a BBQ, a hot tub, a sauna and a fire pit (firewood supplied), all on 1.06 private acres.

Starlink high speed wifi throughout the stay.

Four Season Stay
The house is open year round and the driveway is ploughed in winter. Free parking on site for up to 4 vehicles.

Accessibility Note
There are no stairs inside the house; stairs lead down to the water. If mobility is a consideration for your group, message us and we will gladly answer questions about the layout.

Your Private Lake Stay
Every reservation includes exclusive use of the lakehouse, the dock and the 1.06 acre grounds, so your group can settle in and make the place your own. Guests have the whole house, the deck, the hot tub, the sauna, the dock, the canoe, the playset and the grounds to themselves.

Interaction with guests
We will not be on site during your stay, but we are easy to reach through Vrbo messaging for questions, trip planning, special requests or local tips. Before you arrive, you will receive a welcome manual with the house rules, check-in instructions and everything you need to settle in. For insurance purposes, all guests must provide their full names and either a phone number or email address before check-in.

Security cameras
Exterior security cameras cover the driveway, the front door and the dock only. There are no cameras inside the house, at the hot tub or in any private area.

Safety
Smoke and carbon monoxide alarms, a fire extinguisher and a first aid kit are on site. The hot tub has a cover but not a locking cover. The lake has no lifeguard. Not a bed and breakfast; no breakfast is provided.

Smoking
Smoking is allowed outdoors only; the house is strictly non smoking indoors. Please dispose of butts responsibly.
