Went to bed admiring the starry night and woke up to the sounds of birds chirping, then headed out on a different hike each day. The hikes (and much more) are well desribed in the host's folder. « This place is well located, especially with kids, you can walk everywhere in the small town you might want to go to; the pool, downtown for an ice cream, or the playground. The overall area is beautiful and very outdoorsy, we went hiking and saw lots of mountain bikers, runners, etc. The house is as advertised. The kitchen could use more dishes and serving platters/bowls, and the place was a bit grimy (as many rentals are). Overall we had a lovely stay. »

« Great mountain home for families or friends. Plenty of rooms, even a fun playroom/bedroom for the tykes. Downstairs has pool table and darts and big TV. Upstairs with main floor, kitchen, dining, living and fireplace (lots of firewood available). Just a couple of hours north of LA, very convenient. Short walk to small community town for dining and small grocery. Lots of hiking nearby - we suggest hikes #6 and #1 on the property’s hiking map (on the coffee table). Appliances are new and modern....
