  • The deck is the ideal place in this home to relax at the end of the day and take in the amazing, unobstructed views of Lake Pend Oreille. On a cold winter evening, guests can relax next to the fireplace nside and still enjoy the beautiful views. But when the weather's great, the firepit is always a good idea.

    What's nearby:
    You'll be less than two miles away from Lake Pend Oreille, restaurants, and the small art town of Hope, Idaho. You can head less than a mile over to Seagull Charters for some fishing and to learn some history of the lake, geography, and wildlife! Schweitzer Mountain Resort is just under 27 miles northwest for skiing, great hiking, and mountain biking. The Idaho Club provides a fun 18-hole golf course just under nine miles away from the home.

This beautiful rental property was a dream to stay in. I used to live in Hope and returned for a 50th birthday celebration. I sat on the deck and in the living room, staring at the lake for most of the week. Comfortable bed. Beautiful home. We had a fabulous stay!

Beautiful house with stunning views

We loved this house - it was so clean and comfortable for us. The views of the lake were breathtaking, and the floor plan was perfect. Everyone in the town is super friendly, and we enjoyed our time on the lake with friends and seeing all the sights. It's frankly one of the nicest houses we've stayed at through VRBO. We are planning go back for a visit in the winter.

Lovely home with a view of the mountains and Lake Pend Oreille from the back deck.

The house was impeccably clean with current furnishings. We enjoyed the view through the large picture window as we ate our breakfast. There's no question that I'd stay here again because all of our needs are met. Every morning we would take a drive in search of wildlife and we found deer and turkey on our street. I highly recommend a stay here.

A Dream home with amazing views of the lake!Walk through the front door to a lovely great room with a beautiful kitchen. Perfect for sitting and enjoying our family’s time together. Then, a few steps further, the sitting room that offered full window view for the lake with comfortable seating for many! We spent our mornings welcoming the sun rise and the evenings watching the sun set, Amazing!The beds were very comfortable and the bedding so cozy. Sleeping in not an option in master or 1 guest room as no window coverings but waking to the rising sun was a wonderful experience!We loved our stay and highly recommended this beautiful home!

The million dollar view

This house has the most incredible view and that's why we haved stayed here twice so far. Beautiful home and furnishings. Just lacking some privacy with no window coverings in bedrooms and Main living room, need just some blinds in both.

The view was absolutely amazing and the house was very nice too. I would have liked better frying pans in the kitchen but managed ok with what we had. No curtains or blinds in the bedrooms was a little challenging but the view made up for that.

Beautiful Hope House

Hope House was a great stay, and I would absolutely recommend. While there were only 3 of visiting, I wish we had more family with us, as this home felt spacious enough for a larger group! The cleanest vacation rental I have stayed at, and it was clear that the home had a recent floor to ceiling remodel throughout. As other reviews mention, the views are what make this spot special. I am already looking forward to returning another time.

Come for the view but bring board games…

The house is lovely and comfortable and the view of LPO is unmatched. A few things that would’ve amplified our experience are board games, outdoor dining furniture, the owners’ storing their belongings elsewhere (lots of cluttered closets and the garage is a nightmare) and window treatments for the street facing side of the house. We felt a little like we were in a fishbowl at times.

Very Pleasant Comfortable Stay with Amazing Views!

There is SO Much room in this adorable Mountain Home to completely spread out! After looking at others in the area we are so glad we chose this Gem.The view is amazing, and there is AMPLE heat in every bedroom and bathroom! We fully intend on staying here a couple of times each year while visiting my Dad in Hope.At first glance everything looks squeeky clean, but as usual, a few days in, you start to notice minor things. The plumbling (mainly draining of sinks & showers), needs to be worked on, but I imagine it's an old house. There are no baths, but there are 3 showers! However, there is not a large hot water heater, so space out your showers accordingly.

Fantastic home but . . .

What a wonderful place to stay. The views are incredible. The renovation is beautiful. But I have to repeat what other reviews have said. The Master Bedroom has a double slider with no drape or covering. So you will wake up at sunrise - which in the summer is 4:30-5am. Second, the Master only has a queen size bed ? And they call it Luxury ? Even Motel 6 lets you have a king size bed. This is ridiculous. Other than the fact we had trouble getting rest, it is a wonderful place and great for families.

Beautiful home

Great home with incredible views of the lake. The only issue we had was the AC unit in the living room was leaking a large amount of water. I contacted the property management company and while they were quick to initially respond, they said they would have someone reach out the following day to discuss the matter in more detail (I texted them towards the end of the night). The next day, nothing. We were worried it would leak again so we used it at a higher temp and it was better. For such a beautiful home they should have better pans to cook with, the current ones are completely scraped up, which is very bad to ingest particles from. We would have also loved it if there were AC units in all the other bedrooms as it did get very hot during the daytime. Blind/curtains on the front windows would have also been nice. At night there is no privacy - anyone walking the street or from another home can see straight into the house, which isn't ideal. All in all, it was a great stay and we would book again.
