Welcome to Yellow Tail Cabin! This unique home is tucked into a lush, forested hillside just above spectacular Lake Cushman. You will be in heaven with stunning lake and mountain views from almost every window. If that's not close enough, the mostly private dock is just a few steps away where you can swim, fish or catch some rays in the summer sun. Fully embrace lake life with this relaxing hideaway and let your cares bob with the waves.

ABOUT YELLOW TAIL CABIN

Yellow Tail Cabin is located on a quaint private road just above Lake Cushman in a gorgeous forest setting and is only five miles from the hip little town of Hoodsport. With a convenient private dock, you'll be able to access Lake Cushman for boating, jetskiing or kayaking. Or take your fishing rod down to see if you can get the kokanee or cutthroats to bite.

Enjoy the living room, with its comfy recliner and sectional sofa, with pull-out bed. In the evening, light up the gas fireplace to take off the chill and relax with a book or enjoy a movie with the family on the flat screen, smart tv. The room's slider opens onto the deck, where you'll find the propane bbq and outdoor dining furniture.

The kitchen is equipped well enough to cook your feast and bake dessert, including a full complement of appliances, pots, pans and dinnerware. A kitchen bar lets guests chat with the cook over meal preparations. For guest convenience, there is also a washer and dryer.

"We loved the A-Frame style of the house and the view was 10/10! For us, having a dock right on Lake Cushman was clutch. The water was a little chilly for swimming, but we didn't mind since it was 80 degrees outside. We enjoyed how quiet it was in the evenings sitting out on the deck for dinner while listening to songbirds in the trees. Want to enjoy a big family event down at the lake? This home has three bedrooms, so there's enough space for everyone. Two rooms have queen-sized beds and the other one has a queen and a twin. There's also a pull out couch in the living room. Clean linens and towels are provided for your stay.

If you like to hike, this area will keep you busy! Try your boots on a tough day hike up Mount Rose, Summit Mount Washington or take an afternoon stroll on one of many riverside trails like the Staircase Rapids Loop.

Located along Hood Canal, Hoodsport is a cozy town tucked away at the intersection of the famous U.S. 101 and State Route 119. It's a fun town to visit with antiques, wine tasting, tribal art and gift shops. Little Creek Casino Resort is also in the area and, in addition to gambling, features national shows and entertainment.

Here you will find endless options to explore the outdoors. Walk, run or bike the many trails that offer scenic views and wildlife viewing opportunities.

Go down by the water and enjoy the views of the Hood Canal and the mountain peaks above. You're sure to love the views that Hoodsport has to offer!

Lake Cushman Cabins is the only full-stack vacation rental management company in the area. We vow to make booking with us simple and exciting. We know that booking a rental property home for your vacation can be unfamiliar territory for some, while others know their way around it. Because we know this, we ensure that each of our properties are up to high quality standards.

We do our absolute best to provide support to our guests when booking.

We are available to assist you every day of the year if you have any questions or concerns before, during or after your visit to our home. We have onsite property management available 24/7 for anything concerning that may arise.

MANAGED: This managed property needs good guest behavior and adherence to instructions, rules, terms, conditions, and requires online registration, accidental damage protection, and electronic signature before final booking confirmation, or you may cancel before proceeding at that time. Phones open 9am to 7pm every day. IF dogs area allowed, there is a quantity and weight limit, with a per-day, per-dog fee. For security, there may be outwardly facing security cameras, capable of constant recording depending on staffing. There may be interior decibel meters to report excessive noise. To allow enough time for full cleaning, check-In time is 5pm and Check-Out is 11am. Bookings over 29 days are with Prospera Property Management.

We had a wonderfully relaxing time. The house was comfortable and well stocked with essentials for staying in and cooking. The views were gorgeous and the neighborhood was extremely quiet and felt private. The lake was stunning and clear and access was easy. We would definitely stay here again.

The home was great; clean, comfortable, and an outstanding view. Cookware needs upgrading and shower needs better pressure.We weren't expecting all the snow which prevented us from enjoying the surrounding area, that's on me for poor planning.Also, the description needs updating. We had no cell service in the area. We had to be in the cabin to use wireless calling. There was no place to park due to plows burying the area designated for parking. And the worst part of all was the little to no help from the management company-poor customer service. Only redeeming grace was Nicole who was the on-site manager. Also, only after you've reserved and paid do you receive more information about the cabin; bring snow shovel, have chains for tires...

This property is perfect in all ways! Close to a small town for food, shops, and groceries. Perfect distance to some great hiking trails as well! I would highly recommend this property!

We were here for unpleasant circumstances, and just needed a haven to escape to. The cabin provided exactly that. Beds were comfy, kitchen well-equipped, location was idyllic. We couldn’t have asked for a more welcoming and comfortable home.
