Sandpiper Path at Homosassa Landings #2 home is located just a few yards from the mouth of the Homosassa River. This 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom home is a special find with gorgeous river views and a dock to use for your boating enjoyment. You will find a special spot at the wonderful and beautiful spring fed Homosassa River, with no hard to navigate canals or bridges to conquer, nor spending an hour just getting close to the Gulf in heavy traffic and people.

Small kitchen with everything you need to make basic meals. Has refrigerator, stove, oven, sink, traditional drip coffee maker, microwave and dishwasher. There is a charcoal grill for you to use and enjoy however charcoal is NOT provided. Basic linens such as bedding, bath towels and kitchen towels provided. Washer and dryer on site. Basic stock of toilet paper and paper towels included.

With a dock and room to park your trailer, you only have to launch your boat once during your entire vacation. We do not have a boat ramp on site, please DO NOT use Camp N Water’s boat ramp. It is reserved for their guests only and they will report you if you are caught using it. Thank you for your cooperation.

We have YouTube TV for all your live TV needs. 85 channels including ESPN, ESPN2, all regular channels, Fox News, CNN, MSNBC, TNT, Comedy Central, FS1, HGTV, ACC and SEC Network, NBCSN and more.

Nice location with some quirks

The location of this property is great for getting into the bay from the river quickly. Overall, we loved it. There are a couple quirky things visitors should know. It shouldn't stop you from booking but be aware. The boat dock is not a floating dock so it was underwater when we arrived. It is true to the photo and not right next to the house. You will need to slosh through a wet, buggy field to get to it. The house is bare minimum. Bring basics like salt and pepper if you plan to cook and a nut cracker if you want to crack crabs. The only other odd note was that there was NO mirror in one bathroom at all and the other has it behind you rather than above the sink. We laughed that the house must have been built for vampires, lol. Not deal breakers but worth noting. The house was clean. We did enjoy our stay.

There was enough space, dog has a great time, with the big yard. Screened in porch very nice,privacy very good, carpet was stained in various spots, however since we had a dog and a baby with us. There was no concern.

Great location

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. I rated the description low because the furniture is different and the carpet…Everything was clean, except the carpeting, I even took a video. We were charged a small pet deposit that I gladly payed for our friends dogs, but when we arrived and opened the door, the first thing you see is all the stains from past pets…if you’re charging a deposit, you should be able to tell if a new stain occurs…sadly this was not the case here…we normally do not wear shoes in a home, not even our own, but at this home we didn’t take them off…in this case I did not reach out to the owners about the stains but will not stay there again because of it.

Perfect vacation

What a great property! The two twin beds were perfect for our two children. The property came with everything we needed for meal prep. Loved the Easy access to the water with a boat slip. We enjoyed spending time on the river, grilling and chilling! Can’t wait to visit again!

Great location on the river

The location of this home is great! The boat dock was a little walk away from the home but still convenient and perfect for our 18' flats boat. The house could use a few updates but overall it worked for our family of 4. The first night we slept at the house we realized the next morning that the sheets were not clean on the beds. We did not think anything of it and just washed them in the morning since there is a full-size washer and dryer in the unit. What we didn't know and found out later was that the dirty sheets should have been the least of our concerns. Like I said the place needs a few updates and the cleaning between guests is far from acceptable, as for updates they should probably start with the mattresses. The toilet fill was extremely slow and the burners on the stove worked intermittently. I informed the property owners as soon as we left hoping they could get a few repairs in before the next tenants came to stay.

Relaxing

Great stay for the price...having the dock makes the stay much more enjoyable if your a avid boater or fisherman, only wish there was a path from the driveway over to the dock which would make transporting essentials easier and cleaner. Overall though we will return to this rental in the near future.

Great location on the river

The place could use a little TLC. As mentioned in other reviews, the carpet is heavily stained, screens are ripped on the patio, and the bathroom and bedroom doors are difficult to open and close. However, aside from the carpet stains, it was clean and had all the basics covered. We brought our boat and used the dedicated dock. At night, we boated to the Freezer (in the next canal over) and to the Monkey Bar, about 3-5 minutes away at idle speed. We didn't have any problems, and did not need to communicate with the owner; all the info we needed was in the instructions. It is a great location, and we would rent there again, though it would be nice if some of the maintenance items were addressed.

A few small issues, but all was taken care of easily. Had a great time!

Absolutely LOVE the place. There are a few small things but not crazy big issues and she took care of it right away, (misunderstanding with the grill and a few things could have been cleaner). But again, it was taken care of immediately and did not affect our stay. Would definitely stay again. Easy to deal with and very close to everything you'd want to do on the river. The only reason this listing didn't get 5 stars is for the small issues but overall WELL WORTH the stay!

Nice quiet weekend

Great location. A few things to note, the dock is underwater at high tide. It is still accessible, but you'll get ur toes wet. Also the carpet in this unit is pretty stained, but I suspect the new owners will be replacing soon. Regardless the place was clean, we'll equipped and very relaxing with easy access to the gulf!

Location was perfect!

The home is dated with some furniture and flooring that needs removed. The owner was very clear that he is in the process of renovation! By the looks of the work that has been done so far it is clear that he will do a great renovation! I encourage anyone to take the opportunity to visit now! The location and opportunity for this property are thru the roof! You could not ask for a better setup! Thank u for sharing the space!

Paradise found closer to home

My family and I had a brief staycation at Sunset Path in June. We live on a small farm in Brooksville so it isn’t always easy to get away. The location of the property on the river was the perfect way for us to feel like we had gotten away from it all without ever really going far. The cleanliness of the home and thoughtfulness of the decor also contributed to the overall feeling of relaxation and serenity. We enjoyed launching our kayaks from the dock where our kids also had a blast catching fish. The property is also a quick drive to several of Homosassa’s resataurants. It also only took us a few minutes to paddle our kayaks up to monkey island for an up close look at it’s inhabitants. We had a great time and hope to stay again very soon!

Beautiful Property!

We stayed 3 nights and had a wonderful time. The place was beautiful inside and out plus it was spotless! I loved that they had all the essentials in the kitchen. Coffee, salt, pepper, olive oil plus cookware. Beautiful view and perfect distance from the chaos of the marina. Highly recommend!

Great Family weekend

My family and I were very pleased with the house. It was VERY clean, had all the conveniences you could possibly ask for and made you feel like you were in your own home. The gas grill and the outside seating was above and beyond our expectations!! My son brought his boat and the dock was a great asset, so convenient!! The personal touch that went above and beyond was the welcoming note to our family and friends framed sitting on the counter!! We will definitely rent this home again.

Simply perfect

We had an amazing weekend and the property was perfect for our needs. The house was very clean and stocked with all the amenities required for our stay. Close to everything but just far enough to be peaceful away from the crowds. The dock is a major plus for our boat to stay on the water and avoid having to launch and load each day. Can't wait to plan our next visit.
