Moose, eagles, owls, sandhill cranes occasionally visit the property. The cottage is 8 miles outside Homer and sits on 9+ acres, giving it the ideal setting for a relaxing getaway and an Alaskan adventure. It’s surrounded by nature yet has all the comforts of home. Just a 5 min walk from the cottage, is the Fritz Creek General Store & the Homestead Restaurant, providing cocktails, fine dining, food to go, liquor store, gas, and whatever else you may need.

Side Saddle cottage features a full kitchen outfitted with new appliances, ample counter space and the essential cookware needed for home cooked meals. A dining area with seating for four, a cozy living room with a comfortable queen-sized leather sleeper sofa, Internet, and a smart TV. Perfect for relaxing after a long day. The full bathroom includes a stand-up shower, a washer/dryer unit and all the essentials such as towels, shampoo, conditioner, body soap, laundry soap and hair dryer.

The bedroom has a queen-sized bed with closet, and the living area has a queen-sized sleeper sofa. Both are dressed with plush bedding, ensuring a restful night’s sleep after a long day of adventures.

Outside, the cottage features a private deck with chairs to enjoy the view, lots of open area for kids play or to go on a nature walk to stretch your legs. For a real adventure you can hike down to the creek.

The property is shared with a house, a few hundred feet from the cottage. The lower part of the property has a horse pasture, riding arena and currently hosts two horses. Note, the horses are not to be approached or touched by guests.
