Beautiful lakefront home on Phillips Lake - Near Acadia!

This location offers the comfort and joy of everything one thinks of when envisioning beautiful Maine lakes, woods, and wildlife. From stunning views and peacefulness, with your very own beachfront, this location offers a place to escape city life and yet be within 15 minutes of Ellsworth, within 30 minutes of Bangor International Airport, and within an hour’s drive to both beautiful Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor. Property is furnished for those looking for either a short term or a longer term rental location. Payment rates and terms are negotiable depending on rental terms of over 3 weeks. Longer term rental available during the winter months, please contact for more details. 3 bedroom, 2 bath lakehouse on Phillips Lake. Property includes a 1 car garage, a storage building, an automatic on/off generator that powers the whole house during power outages, a woodstove, air conditioning, a large driveway with plenty of parking, and a nice sandy beach front enclosed by a rock wall and the beach includes a fire pit. The appliances include a refrigerator, stove and oven, microwave, washer and dryer, and a dishwasher. Directv and internet service is onsite. 2 kayaks and 3 life jackets are also provided.

This beautiful, spotlessly clean lakefront home in a quiet community is hard to beat. With an easy, scenic drive to Acadia Natl Park and Bar Harbor it really fit the bill for us. Add the use of kayaks and fishing out side your door and it was a place we’ll remember for a long time.

Though our weather wasn’t perfect we had a lovely time. Kids swam, went out to the islands in kayaks, built a fire, fished. Everyone enjoyed the home. There are 3 levels so we weren’t on top of each other. There is plenty of open area as well as a cozy living space. The kitchen is small but well stocked. Storage is limited in the kitchen itself but there is a lot of space in the lower level for extras. Sitting on the dock you can really enjoy the view of the water, it’s beautiful and serene. We loved the house and everyone wants to go back. For myself and husband, we found the stairs challenging both in bringing in clothes and food but also going up and down the levels. (We are 75/87)Steve was very attentive and helpful. Just a great experience!

This is our third stay at the Lakehouse. It’s always as listed. It’s clean and easily accessible. Communication with Steven is easy and he responds quickly. We didn’t have any issues at our stay. We will definitely stay again.

Autumn on Phillips Lake

The house is exactly as described. It was spotlessly clean and comfortable. The beds and bedding were wonderful. The internet was fast and worked well. It is not an appropriate house for anyone with mobility issues; there are 13 stairs from the entrance to the main level/ kitchen, living room, master bed and bath. The window wall provides a beautiful view of the lake. We did make a fire in the fire pit one eve and took the kayak out. Communication with host Steve was great. Thank you for offering your home!

Beautiful solitude.

The view of the lake as the sun rises is stunning. We absolutely loved our stay at the lake house. It is so quiet and peaceful. The listing is very accurate and Stephen the manager is great to work with and if you have any questions he gets back to you very quickly. We spent a week exploring Maine and used this as our home base and it was as beautiful as everything else in the state.

Great Lake House

We had a wonderful summer vacation at Steven's place on Phillip's Lake and definitely recommend staying here. We had my parents and elementary aged children with us. We appreciated that there were 2 bathrooms (one on the top level with the 2 bedrooms and a larger bathroom on the "middle" level with the kitchen and 3rd bedroom). You walk in on the lower level which currently has 2 "sitting rooms", one with a loveseat and built in shelving and another open area with a large "L" shaped couch looking out over the lake. We loved the kayaks and beach area. Please drive slow around the lake. The road is curvy, hilly, and a pedestrian walkway. Plan your trip accordingly as you will need about 7 minutes to make the drive going a safe speed. This is a very beautiful location, and you won't be disappointed for picking this house for your vacation!

Wonderful week in Maine

Had a wonderful girls week on the lake. The home had all of the necessities.. We enjoyed swimming, kayaking, and relaxing on the dock.. The location allows for a day trip to bar harbor for hiking or shopping . I would definitely recommend this location and home! we will be back

Family 4th of July on the lake

What a fantastic time! The property is beautiful - private and quiet. The home is spacious and clean with great lake views. We went on walks every morning and spent time on the lake front beach - evening campfires with s’mores! We did a little fishing off the dock and watched the fireworks around the lake on the 4th. Our 5 year olds had a blast. Host Stephen was awesome! We are looking forward to another family trip here soon!

Highly Recommended!

This is my family's second stay in the past three months. Both stays were absolutely perfect. The view out the window is breathtaking! The weather was better on our second trip and we were able to take advantage of the lawn chairs down by the lake. The lake is very beautiful, graced by small mountains in the distance. Even though it was Memorial Day weekend, we only saw a few boats on the lake. We highly recommend this home!

What a wonderful vacation we had at this beautiful home! We especially loved the million dollar view of the lake from the magnificent windows. The owner goes to great lengths to make sure that renters are comfortable. We have already booked our next trip!

Beautiful Property

This is our second stay at the Lakehouse. The view is beautiful with all the windows on the front of the house. The essentials are provided as listed and new kitchen appliances have been added since our first stay in 2022. Steve is super helpful and keeps the communication line open. I recommend this host and this Lakehouse.

Beautiful home!!! Check-in was very easy. The instructions that were sent prior to our stay were very informative. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you might need. Amazing location in between the airport and Acadia

Amazing views and outdoor entertainment. Very well stocked with houses items (coffee, paper towels, laundry detergent and fire wood) Great location for flying in to Maine and exploring all that coastal Maine has to offer. 10/10 would definitely go back!

Amazing Lake house

Quiet getaway location. House was clean, stocked with everything you could want. Comfortable beds with upgraded bedding and towels. Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor are about an hour drive, which was perfect for us, I’ve stayed in Bar Harbor in the past but MUCH prefer this quiet get away. We used the kayaks to explore the lake. Only reason for 4 stars on check in, it was raining quite hard on our arrival and I struggled with the lock box, spotty service and the WIFI password wasn’t on site. Stephen was quick to respond with the password when I requested it. I will definitely plan a future trip back to this amazing lake house.

Great location on the lake

If you are looking for peace and quiet, this is the place. Only an hour drive to bar harbor and Acadia. Would stay here again if Im back in the area
