Tranquil Deer Island offers the relaxation of moss drapped oaks and free roaming friendly deer while being a walk or bike ride to lots of action! Sea Pines Beach Club welcomes you to comb 11 miles of sandy white shores! Bring your bikes or rent them from Sea Pines Resort to enjoy 200 miles of paved bike paths!

Indoor Living with floor to ceiling windows, 3 Flat Screen Smart TV's with
cable. The open living room upstairs opens to the dining area and fully equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances, marble counter tops, dishwasher, ice maker, Keurig and regular drip coffee makers, blender and all the cooking basics and dishware you may need. Enjoy complimentary KCup coffee and tea bar. Kitchen bar seats two and dining table seats 4.

All linens/towels/kitchen towels are provided. Trash bags, toilet paper, paper towels, hand soap, laundry and dish detergents and a first aid kit are provided.

Sleeping Options: Upstairs Master Bedroom with Queen Bed, Second Upstairs Bedroom also with a Queen Bed. The downstairs (through seperate entrance) sitting area with queen sleeper, flat screen tv, bunk beds for 3 and half bath.

The outdoor Oasis offers a private deck with outdoor dining area to seat four with an electric grill and a lounge area.

Beach Towels and Chairs (mix of low folding chairs and high collapsible chairs), rolling beach cart and cooler are provided as an added convenience. Umbrellas and boogie boards are for rent by the Lifeguards.

Pool: Enjoy Sea Pines Resort Pool Side at the seasonal South Beach Marina Pool at 8 Portside Drive (pay at the pool daily for admittance). The free Sea Pines Trolley (seasonal) will take you to the pool , beach, Forest Preserve and Lawton Stables from the Harbour Town Playground stop!

Parking for two vehicles available within driveway with a Sea Pines Plantation Pass fee required per vehicle for admittance onto the Plantation.

The Sea Pines Beach Club is 2 miles from the sealoft and may be accessed by free seasonal trolley, bike or car.

Entry to the sealoft is keyless. The sealoft is accessible by stairs only and therefore may not be suitable for those who have difficulty using stairs.

House Rules -No Smoking -No Pets -No events, parties, or large gatherings -Must be 21 years old to book and Photo ID may be required.

Security Cameras and Exterior Automatic Lighting- This home is equipped with an exterior camera for your protection and security.

We offer Early Arrival and Late Departure for an additional $50 upon availability.

Sea Pines requires each vehicle to pay $10 daily or $20 Weekly.
Sea Pines free Trolley and South Beach Marina Pool are seasonal.

We enjoyed our stay on Deer island, however the cost of the cleaning fee (which I normally have no issue paying) was a little disappointing when we were expected to clean more than I’ve ever been expected to clean at a VRBO or other rental. The rental itself was very pleasant but I would be hesitant to rent this one again because of the cleaning expectations.

immediately upon check in- on the1st story bathroom the toilet had poop on it. So we came up to the 2nd story bathroom which had urine on the toilet seat and back of toilet. In the master bathroom- there was also urine on that toilet- men’s beard hair on the sink area and toothpaste splattered on the mirror. I contacted Meredith- who offered to come reclean the condo in an hour and 50 mins when she got off. I however had cleaning wipes with me and to feel comfortable using the bathroom for the next almost 2 hours I cleaned it myself. She also text and said the cleaning lady was pregnant and she felt that’s why areas were missed which I was understand of and offered a 50 refund for me having to clean. The next morning (our first morning there) I started to really see in the daylight just how unclean the condo was - from black mold on the inside of the condo from the door frame, to black mold on the toilet bowl, to splatters on just about every wall, sink, and surface in the bathrooms. The master tv cabinet had not been wiped at all it had dust and crumbs on it. Every corner of that condo was piled with dust as if the floors hadn’t been properly cleaned multiple times in a row. Once checked out I brought these things to Meredith’s attention who replied with I didn’t start washing the linens or take out the trash - which the trash was set where asked &There’s no check out list out visible in the condo- “tit for tat” and that was it. I would NEVER recommend a property from her

Everything about this place was just a great place to stay. The house was so nice. We loved having the extra space for our 22 year old granddaughter. She loved having her own place,so to speak.Everything was neat, clean and welcoming. Meredith, our host, made herself available by texting us. Told us to ask her anything about the area. Restaurants, places to see, where to buy groceries and the movies. So this was a wonderful time in Hilton Head. The deer around this location were amazing and we enjoyed seeing them every day and where to buy food to feed them! Thank you Meredith

Cozy cottage in Deer Island very close to all of the shops of Harbor Town. We appreciated how well designed and stocked the unit was. For a small cottage, there is a very smart use of space. My teenage daughter brought a friend and they loved the bottom level with the large sofa and TV. The area was very quiet and the surroundings are beautiful. It was fun seeing deer roam the property and they literally stopped and practically begged for food. We had a few strawberries which they loved. The outside space is nice, but the only time I didn’t get bit by bugs was very first thing in the morning while drinking my coffee. Otherwise it was pretty difficult to be outside without getting eaten. It was a bit far from the beach but we didn’t mind biking. We love the trails of sea pines and rarely drove in our car. Also, there is a trolley that runs regularly to the beach certain times of the year. Overall, we had a great experience and I would definitely consider staying there again.

Location

Nice location next to Harbortown. Feels like you’re tucked away and in a nature preserve. Bed was comfortable, towels were plush and plentiful, keyless entry was easy. The 3 boys loved the tri-bunk bed downstairs with ample room for hanging out down there. Deer were so friendly and sweet. Baths, Kitchen and Games were well-stocked. Could use a few puzzles (lower than 1000 pieces). Hammock was in great shape. Grill could use replacing. A few minor paint and caulk touchups needed. Overall A wonderful dreamy home!

Fun Treehouse

We loved our stay! The previous guests left late the day we checked in and we were amazed how fast the house was cleaned. The property manager was very kind and responsive. It was a great location and it was nice have the extra space in the basement to spread out. I will say the internet is VERY slow and doesn’t work half the time. That was frustrating for our college student finishing assignments, but really that was our only down side to our stay. If you’re interested in having a deer eat right out of your hands this is the place for you!

Treetop Oasis

Our stay was wonderful! The house was beautiful and looked just like the pictures. There was even a surprise hammock that wasn’t in the advertised pictures! The peekaboo sound views were very pretty and we even saw dolphins from the balcony. Overall the house was very clean however some places did seem to be a little older such as the main living area couch, it was very comfortable though and it wasn’t dirty so we didn’t mind. There was also an electric grill not a gas grill as advertised but it worked great! The deer were also SO friendly. They visited every day, let me pet them, and even ate out of my hand! Deer island was beautiful and felt so secluded from everything but it was absolutely walking distance from Harbour Town which was amazing. I would definitely recommend this place for your next Hilton Head trip!

Great location, disappointing property manager

We arrived on a Saturday around 4pm. After review of the place, we noticed the bedding in both bedrooms was stained and the sheets and comforter for the sleeper sofa was left on the mattress. I reached out to Meredith (property manager) that evening requesting all new clean bedding. I did not get a response from her that evening so we ending up sleeping on the dirty bedding. Sunday morning I decided to call since I had not received a response. She did answer and let her know we noticed comforters and sheets were stained and requested new bedding. She became combative instead of addressing the issue and stated she was being “honest”. She finally offered to come over and wash everything however after our interaction I did not want her in the house so ended up washing all of the bedding myself. Nothing like doing laundry on your vacation and paying a cleaning fee for a job not done. Also, we booked this place because it stated in the property details we would have access to the South Marina pool however when we went to the pool there was a sign stating it was closed for construction. I reached out to the Meredith again and she stated all pools do not open until Memorial Day. So it was falsely advertised and when I called other pools they were open. The closure of the pool should have been communicated in the property details. Lack of disclosure or any due diligence. The property manager will only blame you for any issues that come up and will not help in any way.

Location,location,location!

We absolutely loved staying on Deer Island, right in Harbor Town, but without the traffic and noise. The treehouse with multiple level desks and floor to ceiling windows was amazing. The house was just like the pictures, but the living area was bigger than I’d thought, plenty of room for the five of us to hang out.The kitchen was lovely with everything we needed. We couldn’t have had a better week, highly recommend!

Awesome treehouse! The decor is beautiful & well equipped.

We had a wonderful time in this treehouse. The decor is beautiful & well supplied. We loved the location. The deer were so friendly & even ate right out of our hands! Only issue we had was in figuring out how to use the bedroom television-we never did get it to work for us. We’d definitely come back!

Great value and perfect location. Home is charming. All conveniences included. We were hesitant about not being oceanfront but no worries as transportation was easy back and forth to public beaches. Had a wonderful experience. Highest of recommendations.

This sea loft is lovely! A perfect location if seclusion yet walking distance to restaurants, shopping and water. The deer did not disappoint! Walking/bike trails are nearby and amazing. Multiple beaches close and easy to travel to—by bike, driving or trolley. Loved every minute! Might plan for other than July in SC—limited deck time due to hear and humidity. But still an awesome experience!

Good, should have been better

Pros - location (convenient & felt secure, deer are friendly and visited a lot), comfortable beds, stocked kitchen. Could have been better - listing indicated high and low beach chairs available for use. They were present (2 low and 1 camping chair) but the lows were completely rusted through (not in one piece anymore) and the camping chair had a lot of mold/mildew. No chairs were useable. Hammock very mildewy. Only used one side of it. Pool was not available during our stay, due to a crack in its foundation which we know was outside the rental property’s control. However, this was a BIG deal for us and the company was made aware of the pool closing on 5/15. That meant the rental property had 10 days to let us know about it BEFORE our free cancellation date, but they did not. They refunded us 4.4% of our rental fee which did not make up, to us, not having access to a pool each day during our vacation. This was a HUGE disappointment. We broom swept upon arrival due to dust and sand in the bedrooms and one bathroom. Sofa in main living room is *heavily* stained. I wouldn’t nitpick one stain. No house directions/binder for things like TV use, etc. Fun tip: may want to consider clearing Netflix user names and search histories between guests. When we tried to use the TV (we were never able to), it was clear some kiddos or jokesters had been having fun with searches and user names for the next people to find 😳

Damp but delightful

It was rainy and overcast the entire time of our stay, but we still enjoyed some activities and exploring Hilton Head. We did a “Let’s Roam” scavenger hunt around Harbor Town—great way to acclimate us to the Island. We also did a dolphin watch boat tour and saw lots of dolphins! We walked Burkes Beach, and attended worship at Christ Lutheran Church on Sunday. Hoping the owners of this delightful cabin get a few issues fixed, and we guarantee a great stay for the next guests!

Treetop sanctuary

Beautiful secluded getaway.Beautifully decorated,close walking distance to the hub of harbor town.Bike paths are wonderful.Seapines is a perfect resort for couples and families.The private deck on the property is where we spent our time drinking morning coffee and eating dinner alfresco watching the sunset. Excellent communication with owner,easy access at check in.
