« The best dog friendly rental we have stayed in so far. The house was clean, the beds comfortable, nicely updated and the rustic decor charming. Scaly mountain is between Highlands NC and Dillard Ga, so close enough either way to enjoy shopping and restaurants but rural enough to feel like you live in the country. Lots of dog friendly hiking trails nearby. Loved the front porch with its swing and cool evenings, and the fire pit. Definitely recommend. »

« Wonderfully light, clean, and comfortable place to stay while we worked in the area. Peaceful view over the golf course. Yes the road is single-lane, but we never encountered another vehicle the entire week of coming and going. Carly is a great host, and we hope there is availability when we work up there next year! »

« Unique experience which I enjoyed. It's glamping at its finest. The raging river is just spectacular and very relaxing. Secluded down in the gorge. I loved it. Owner is great with communication even if there were six hours difference between us because she also was on a trip, but made sure to stay up to make sure I got there, and everything was good. Would love to go back with a group of friends to the other property, The barn. »

« Place is really nice. I didn’t notice in the description it just had one bathroom but that is on me . but overall we really enjoyed. would definitely recommend it. Thanks for letting us stay.and the fresh baked pumpkin spice bread was delicious. »

« Love the location, attractive mountain setting, creekside with adjacent small waterfall on grounds. Short walk to downtown Cashiers,nice convenience to Cashiers Greenway trail and community park. Liked having small cabin for my husband and I (added privacy) while my daughter and son-in-law and granddaughter used the bigger cabin. We enjoyed meals all together, and relaxing on the big porch. It was a fun experience. I would stay here again. »

« Great House , terrific views. Fun to sit on the covered porch and eat outside.The layout of the house worked for our family of 6 adults, 3 children.I would definitely go back. We love the location »

« We really enjoyed our stay at Silver Lining. The house is beautiful, very comfortable and perfect for a getaway in the mountains. The gas fireplace was a lovely treat on cool evenings. The house is a short drive from downtown Highlands with lots of options for restaurants and shops. The hosts are very attentive and quick to respond to questions and they offered lots of wonderful suggestions on restaurants and things to do. We would definitely stay here again. »
