Truly lovely, historic home. We stayed there as a party of four: my husband and I, my teenaged son, and my mom. The downstairs sitting area was comfortable, and the place was very charming and clean. Comfy bedding, so much so that I asked about the brands.I would have loved to have been able to read about the history of the property, but the owner was responsive to my questions. I am a history buff!We were attending my daughter's graduation at Wesleyan, which is about 30 minutes away. Decent breakfast place only about ten minutes away.My only caution is that, as an antique home, the upstairs floors were understandably uneven and my mom had a bit of trouble navigating. Getting into the house was also slightly challenging as there are large stones leading into the doorway area that were not particularly flat. She is in her 80s though, so a more spry person would be fine. It's on a very big piece of land but the house is very close to the street; it's a quiet street, but that was a bit surprising to me. Can't remember if it was from the pictures or my own imagination, but I had pictured driving in a long drive to get to the house since it's on large acreage.Bottom line - I really enjoyed the home and would stay there again!
