En vous promenant autour du lac ou sur l'un des nombreux sentiers de la rĂ©gion, vous remarquerez tous les beaux arbres et le Rhododendron ainsi que des fleurs sauvages longeant le sentier. Il n’est pas rare que les cerfs se croisent au fil des saisons et que vous puissiez mĂȘme voir un pygargue Ă  tĂȘte blanche s’incliner sur le lac pour pĂȘcher des poissons, le tout offrant de superbes occasions de prendre des photos.

Randonnée sur l'un des sentiers locaux pour profiter de la vue sur la montagne à son meilleur! Les sentiers de Fonta Flora et du parc national du lac James vous offrent une vue sur les contreforts tout en marchant au bord du magnifique lac James. Hawksbill, Table Rock ou Shortoff vous mÚnent aux sommets entourant les gorges de Linville (connu comme le Grand Canyon de l'Est). Upper Creek Falls, Linville Falls et Catawba Falls vous donneront une vue imprenable sur les cascades, à quelques minutes de route de notre cabine.

Alors, mettez vos pieds en l'air, faites une randonnée, marchez sur un sentier, nagez dans le lac, empruntez un chemin gravillonné, traversez le lac James et profitez de l'air pur et pur de la montagne de Caroline du Nord; prenez une profonde respiration, embrasser le moment présent et laissez vos sens s'envoler!

Get away from everyone

Not a person to be seen. When we were there the Linemen where working on the lines they were responsible for most of the traffic on the road no neighbors maybe 10 or 12 cars a day house is clean big kitchen and no cell service or Internet but sign up for star link and take it without.

Weekend getaway

We had an amazing weekend. Our 3 boys loved the creek in the back and we had a nice campfire and cooked smores! The cabin had everything we needed to make it a comfortable weekend. We enjoyed Lake James and hiking! The kids are already asking to go back!

Glad to be back!

It was so nice to come back to Bee At Peace. This place not only holds a special place in my heart that I shared with my late fiance, but it was amazing to come back for a few days and bring my kids, my nephews and mother in law to share the beauty of this place. Everyone insisted we needed to live here. I totally would! Nothing negative to say about this place.

Creekside stay in a quaint cabin

Our family of 5 and dog thoroughly enjoyed the stay at the creekside cabin. Having all the kids together in the bunk bed room went smoothly. Enjoyed the hot tub and all the yard games. Bring bug spray though if you'll be outside! Loved the open kitchen & living room. Appreciated the starter wood for the fire pit

Great place, no internet or cell service!

It was a beautiful stay. But beware not internet for cell service. They do seem to have a stink bug infestation, so they were flying around inside. Over all we loved the creek and secluded feeling.

Nice Weekend Retreat

The house was just as described in the listing. The hosts were very responsive. Be aware that there is no cell signal but there is a land line. The hot tub was nice. My husband was disappointed there was no Bigfoot. Can’t have everything.

A wonderful cabin!

Our family of 4 (kids ages 5 and 7) and our dog stayed for new years and absolutely loved the cabin. It is very remote and has no service but we enjoyed that. The yard is perfect for the kids to run wild (but the cabin is on a road so the dog couldn’t be off a leash like we hoped), hammocks outside to relax, hot tub was relaxing, and the creek is beautiful- everyone got in actually (except mama) despite the cold! We cooked each night and the kitchen had everything we needed. We hiked nearby (5 min drive) to fonta flora trail, went to downtown Morganton, and the cabin is only 30 min to Jonas ridge snow tubing and 50 min from banner elk where we saw snow and rode the alpine coaster. The cabin was clean and the layout is great, would very much recommend any family staying here!

Excellent Place To Stay!!

Our family of four and our two pups love this cabin and yard! This was our fourth time back, and it still was just as relaxing. We love the seclusion that this property brings. It’s like time slows down when we are there, and that’s what we love. It’s a great place to relax and read, but also has local hiking trails to enjoy too. Our 8.5 year old pups run and play like no other time when staying here. It’s like they even get rejuvenated! Our 7 and 5 year old kiddos love the cozy cabin and all the activities that’s provided by the home owner! The home owners are super sweet people, and are super receptive both prior to, during, and after our stays! It’s just a great place to stay! 😁

This is what your family needs

Came a cross this amazing find as I looked for a cabin to try and get my 4 kids to stop fighting and enjoy each other. my oldest just turned 15 and we only have a couple years left before college! The pictures of the property to explore is what made my mind up to stick all 6 of us and our Great Dane in this 2 bedroom cabin for thanksgiving’s and my decision couldn’t have been better!!!! The amount of stuff to do is mind blowing! We stayed a full week enjoyed our thanksgiving undisturbed! My kids have never seen a phone with a cord and watching them talk on it and figure out how to use it was priceless! If you’re reading this and wondering if this is the place for you let me tell you! Yes! Book it! My kids are 8,9,11,15. We have stayed in cabins with arcades, indoor pools, enough bedroom for them to have their own and I would gladly take this over any of that any time! My kids said the same! No cell no wifi! And THIS is the cabin they asked if we could spend every thanksgiving! Life is short make it an adventure! This is an area that has different activity’s and experiences for each season and can’t wait to see it in another season !!!!! Thank you for sharing your cabin and giving us forever memories and truly enjoying each other!

Perfect weekend getaway!

We loved this little secluded cabin, close to many hiking trails we loved the Fonta Flora Trail which is conveniently right down the street from the house and the Linville falls were beautiful. Our dogs loved playing in the big back yard. The hot tub and fire pit were are favorite part.

Great secluded cabin with huge outdoor porperty with lots of outdoor activities from hammocks, cornhole, horseshoes, hot tub, & even a creek. Kitchen had all essentials for cooking. Just a wonderful relaxing little get away

This property was a great quick weekend getaway for us. We have 2 large dogs and an outdoorsy toddler. They all loved running the property and exploring. If you are looking for a place to disconnect, this is it. There is zero cell reception, which was great for family time.

Fall vacation

My friends and I had a great week at the cabin. The location of the cabin was great for visiting the gorge and local breweries. This VRBO has a fully loaded kitchen with everything you would need to cook with, more than most that I have stayed in. Its also fully stocked with toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, and dish soap which might not sound like a big deal, but when you are in a remote cabin and staying for a week that means a lot. The property was surprisingly better than what the pictures showed. I was wowed when I walked in the front door. For a 1200 sq ft cabin, the very tall ceiling in the "great room" really makes it feel much larger. We were all able to get one bar of phone servics in different parts of the cabin or property, enough to send text messages. Not having significant service or wifi was refreshing as it kept all of us from zombie scrolling on instagram. There are a few games stocked in the cabin like uno, apples to apples, and some other card games. I cant really think of any cons about the cabin. 5/5 stars

Best place I've ever had the pleasure of staying.

This property and it's owners are nothing short of amazing. I have never been happier than my week spent at this peaceful property. Even my dog that's typically anxious with all the noise at home was the most relaxed I had ever seen him. You can tell the moment you arrive that great consideration was given by the hosts when deciding to share their property with others. They provide more than enough for a rental to keep you entertained and comfortable. There is also beautiful trails right at the end of the rd and a fairly short drive to anything you may need. So, in conclusion, if you can live without internet and cell definitely visit. If you cannot then just move on because you may just not be able to appreciate what this property has to offer. Huge thank you to the hosts for sharing your home. We will be back.

Great location to Lake James

Cabin was beautifully decorated. Everything was new. Extremely clean and well stocked. Loved the size of the property and the creek. We brought our boat and loved how close it was to Lake James. It was great that the property was big enough to park our boat. Really enjoyed our stay.

This place was absolutely amazing! My family and I enjoyed every single minute! From everything there is to do at the cabin in general to being right down the road from many things to do like hiking, site seeing and zip lining! This is now our favorite place to stay by far! Such a beautiful house sway! So much to do right there in the property; swimming, firepit, hammocks, badminton, volleyball, croquet, corn hole, hot tub, board games, etc. We enjoyed just being together. And if you want there's tons to do close by; hiking, swimming, fishing, boating. We would love to come back and make this a yearly trip.

Beautiful Cabin!

We are from NY, but one of our daughters and her family live in Concord, NC. We were coming down for a wedding and decided, though this would be a short trip, why not spend some time with our grandchildren too. I was a little worried that they might rebel when we told them there was no wifi, but I knew being offline for a few days would be good for the entire family. We played games and had a great time. We face-timed! Yes, real faces, right in front of each other. What an extraordinary concept! Our grandchildren are 12 and 14, and I never heard one complaint. There is a landline, so I was very comfortable giving the house phone number to out-of-state families if they needed to reach us. The cabin is super cute and looks newly renovated, even though it has been about four years. There is only one bathroom. There were five of us, and I was a little worried, but not once did I hear anyone yelling, "Hurry up in there!" We grilled, and we built a fire for smores. The beds are comfortable, the cabin is clean, and the cabin feel is fun! The only thing I needed was an iron. I only needed an iron because we were going to a wedding and needed to look extra spiffy. We picked up one in town. No problem. We didn't meet the owner, but I had a couple of questions before we arrived. We communicated with messages, and she was extremely friendly! We would stay here again in a heartbeat. The biggest and best news is only one mosquito tested my blood! Thank you!
