The house itself is a testament to traditional Greek architecture, with its whitewashed walls and Cretan stone. The original stone arch in the living room area hints at its storied past, while inviting you inside to discover its treasures.
Stepping through the doorway, you find yourself in a cozy living space adorned with heirloom furniture that once belonged to grandparents. A sturdy wooden dining table, worn but full of character, stands proudly in the center. Around it, hand carved chairs offer a place to gather and share meals, their surfaces polished smooth by generations of hands. The focal point of the room is a magnificent fireplace, its old stones weathered by time yet still radiating warmth.
The kitchen and the bathroom, though compact, are fully equipped with modern amenities discreetly integrated into the vintage setting.
As you explore further, a small steep staircase leads to the loft bedroom, Here, a wrought iron bed frame adorned with handstitched pillows, and a cozy mattress that invites you to rest and rejuvenate, is overlooking the small garden that contrasts with the cerulean blue of the Mediterranean sea in the background. On the other side of the bedroom, there is a lovely balcony terrace, equipped with sunbeds and umbrella, is the perfect spot to recharge while soaking in the Cretan sun, or simply admire the view overlooking the village and the gorgeous blue of the sea.
Outside, a stone-paved patio shaded by a trellis draped with climbing bougainvillea vines provides a perfect spot for alfresco dining or simply soaking in the tranquility of the countryside. The garden is full of fragrant citrus trees adding a splash of color, their blossoms perfuming the air with a sweet, tangy aroma.
